Finally! GACON is my very first solo exhibition, has officially opened!

The word “GACON” comes from something I often heard as a child while playing, referring to the one thing believed to bring victory in the game…

For the full story, you can visit @artotelgelorasenayan to see my artworks in person. The exhibition runs from August 20 to November 16, 2025! Enjoy 🥂

Imelda Adams (b. 1997) began her artistic journey in childhood and has been active in the art scene since 2017. Graduating in 2020 with a degree in Communication Science, Imelda explores themes of emotion, memory, and human connection through her soft pastel tones and naive figurative style.

Her recurring character, Gacon, emerged unintentionally and became a reflection of her inner world, cute yet expressive, colorful yet contemplative. Imelda’s works often blend sincerity, humor, and melancholy, portraying life’s simplicity and complexity with gentle irony.

Her works reflect on how society shapes individual lives and how nature sustains itself in quiet balance. Her works are manifestations and representations of life, potrayed in a colorful and sarcastic way with a constant presence and the easy, the tragic and the funny.

“In art I found sincerity, honesty and trust. It makes my heart as broad as the sky, and nothing will ever break it.”
