Here’s my setup for my 2nd-place finish in the @cashionrodstour on the St. Lawrence!

My first and primary bait was the @beastcoastfishing OW Sniper Jig in MB Pumpkin paired with a GP or Black MaxScent Lil’ General. This bait combo is second to none on the St. Lawrence River and Lake Ontario.

Second, the unsung hero for me was a short-leader drop shot with a 2.85” Beast Coast Slow Flow Swimbait, nose-hooked and strictly in black.

This 1-2 punch is great when fish won’t come all the way up for a minnow, but it’s also a great cleanup system for those fish that don’t want to eat straight off the bottom.

All on a @fishgloomis NRX+ 822S DSR paired with a @fish_shimano_north_america 3000 size Exsence. taken in St. Lawrence River by @imethancarr

Locked up 2nd place with 24.01 in the @cashionrodstour out of massena! Stumbled into a little deal and it became the biggest bag I’ve ever caught out of the limited section of river we had to work with! Huge thanks to the @beastcoastfishing OW sniper jig 1/2oz MB pumpkin. And another huge thanks to @townemarine for what they do to give back to tournament anglers!

Give God all the glory.

The Toyota Series on Lake Champlain is in the books, finishing 42nd my worst finish of the year.

This one stung.

The door was wide open to make a serious run at AOY, and unfortunately, I wasn’t able to capitalize on the opportunity. I wanted this one bad. I look forward to Champlain every year, and this time around, it simply got the best of me.

My Livescope period was lackluster, and the biggest fish I caught on both Day 1 and Day 2 came flipping my Lil Magnum around no scope. No excuses. I just didn’t get the job done.

As frustrating as it is, I’m looking forward to my next trip to Champlain. I can promise there will be a little extra energy behind that one.

For now, it’s time to reset and start preparing for the Toyota Series Championship on Pickwick in November.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support me, follow along, and cheer me on throughout the season. It truly means the world to me. #toyotaseries #lakechamplain #bassfishing #ethancarr #beastcoast by @imethancarr

Fished the cashion rod tournament in Clayton today had 25.27 but a dead fish brought us to 24.77 which got us 6th! Sent the skeeter into the lake chasing one of those mystical bags fell up short but that’s what keeps us striving for more! Caught our bigs ones today on a dropshot with a @beastcoastfishing slow flow swim bait in natural shad it’s a killer bait that gets overlooked check em out! taken in Clayton-1000 Islands, NY by @imethancarr

Shout out to @j_spellicy for closing the deal this week and @beastcoastfishing for producing a jig that put every single bass in the boat this week, tackle recap coming soon. See everyone at Champlain looking to track down AOY!!
