There’s something beautiful about keeping things simple. The right lighting, a little creativity, and being comfortable in your own skin.

I really love how this one came together. 📸

A little Baywatch inspiration on the beach. ❤️

I love when someone comes to me with a concept and we get to bring it to life. The red against the white sand, the blue sky, and her personality made this one come together beautifully. 📸

She came into this shoot knowing she wanted gold. Gold tones, gold flowers, gold wardrobe, she already had a vision for the look.

From there, it was about figuring out how to translate that idea into the photograph. Working with the lighting, shadows, reflection and composition until everything came together.

That’s part of the creative process. Sometimes someone comes to me with a specific idea, sometimes we build the concept together, and sometimes they just show up and trust me to create.

Sometimes the light is the set.

For this shot, I wanted to keep everything simple and let one hard light completely change the scene. Instead of lighting the entire background evenly, I used the spotlight to isolate her and create that circle behind her. The black dress disappears into the darker edges while the red flowers give the image that little hit of color.

Simple setup, but a completely different look.

📸 Fredo Fun Fact: Hard light creates sharper, more defined shadows because the light source is small relative to the subject. Move that same light source closer and make it larger, and those shadows gradually become softer.

That’s one of my favorite things about photography. You don’t always need more equipment, you just need to understand what the light you already have is doing.
