Kansas City showed up in Baltimore! 💛

More official photos are coming, but I couldn’t wait to share a few moments from this meaningful experience!

I was proud to represent the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Association of Black Women in Higher Education as Chapter President at our 2026 National Conference, alongside Tracey Hughes and Dr. Lover Chancler.

We had so much to celebrate! Congratulations to Tracey Hughes, recipient of the National Outstanding Chapter Member Award! Thank you for the dedication and service you bring to our sisterhood.

Dr. Lover Chancler shared her knowledge through her presentation, “Supporting Students and Each Other in Times Like These.” It was wonderful to see our chapter represented through service and scholarship.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Brooks and seeing the proclamation I requested presented during the conference—two more highlights of my time in Baltimore!

This conference marked a milestone in my leadership journey: I was installed as a National Officer, serving as National Treasurer of ABWHE. I am grateful for the trust placed in me and the opportunity to serve our organization nationally.

I also had the honor of accepting the Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of our immediate past president, Dr. Kimberly D. Johnson, recognizing more than 25 years of developing student scholars and leaders and serving ABWHE and our communities.

Dr. Kim, thank you for your leadership, mentorship, and friendship. It was an honor to accept this recognition on your behalf and celebrate your lasting impact. 💐

I returned home grateful, inspired, and ready to continue our work: Elevating Women. Empowering Leaders. Expanding Impact.

Rooted in sisterhood. Committed to lifting as we climb.

Excited to Serve as a Mentor with the Center for Black Entrepreneurship (CBE)!

I am honored to serve as a mentor with the Center for Black Entrepreneurship (CBE), supporting the Beauty, Wellness & Personal Care Brands Pod within its Scale-Up & Startup Circle.

The Center for Black Entrepreneurship is a groundbreaking initiative established through a partnership between Spelman College, Morehouse College, and the Black Economic Alliance Foundation. Its mission is to advance Black entrepreneurship by expanding access to education, mentorship, capital, professional networks, and opportunities for business growth.

CBE is based at two of the nation’s distinguished Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs):

* Spelman College
* Morehouse College

Its broader academic reach extends across the Atlanta University Center community, including:

* Clark Atlanta University
* Morehouse School of Medicine
* Morris Brown College

Through its academic programming, entrepreneurial development initiatives, and mentorship opportunities, CBE is helping prepare the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and business leaders.

As a mentor, I have been entrusted with guiding five emerging founders who are developing businesses in the beauty, wellness, and personal care industries.

Over the next several months, our work will focus on entrepreneurial goal-setting, customer validation, strategic positioning, pricing, business growth, and funding readiness.

Having dedicated much of my professional journey to entrepreneurship, leadership development, education, and economic mobility, this opportunity represents a meaningful extension of the work I am passionate about.

Entrepreneurship is more than starting a business. It is about creating opportunities, building sustainable enterprises, and developing pathways to generational economic mobility.

I look forward to supporting these emerging entrepreneurs as they turn their ideas into sustainable ventures.

💖Today’s Self‑Worth Celebration

• You affirmed your value — not because of what you produced, but because of who you are.
• You honored your boundaries — choosing peace over pressure is a luxury move.
• You moved with intention — even small steps count when they’re aligned.
• You showed up for yourself — and that energy compounds into confidence.
• You chose softness without shrinking — a woman who knows her worth doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful.
