Celebrating Dia de los Muertos at Pancita tonight and through the weekend. Designed an ofrenda for my dad, Janet’s grandma, and of course our beloved Sarah. Tequila for dad, sparkling wine for Sarah, and a flower decorated memela for Janet’s grandma, plus some extras that we know they’d love to enjoy. We also have a Marigold cocktail and Pan de Muerto, both new on the menu tonight in honor of this special Mexican holiday of remembrance and celebration.🧡 by @imkaleidoscoping

May 18th, celebrated 20 years of giving mouthwatering food, caring and detailed service, and sharing a window filled room with every smiling face that has dined at 5501 30th Ave NE. Thank you to everyone who has been with us through the years. What started as Pair, which I can confidently say is undeniably unforgettable and served dishes that I will forever crave🤤 -has transitioned. I couldn’t be more proud that Pancita, has humbly, confidently, and comfortably slid into the space with such grace (thank you Sarah 😇🙏). I strongly believe ONLY Pancita could’ve filled those “Pair shoes”, so beautifully. It’s heartwarming to see that the neighborhood is excited and has welcomed @pancitaseattle with open arms. I am so thankful and grateful for the inviting restaurant space that @sarahlpenn and Felix created, and we will honor their vision everyday.❤️ @yani_se and I will continue to appreciate and love this beautiful space as @pancitaseattle, with everyone who joins us for another delicious meal. Today we gathered to remember Sarah. The room was full of love, hugs, tears, and memories. The impact she had on her friends, family, and the community was immense and it showed. She taught every one of us to appreciate the small details (which may not have been so small to her 😉), and to be just that much more classy -as she was. She was my friend, mentor, confidant, my QUEEN, and chosen family. Not only did we work closely together at @franksoysterhouse, @pairseattle, and @pancitaseattle -we’ve also enjoyed many concerts (yes, she took me to see Stevie Wonder, and what a special night that was!), we went on trips, threw and attended parties, and gently helped get each other through our toughest times in life. I’m so grateful for the relationship that we built over the last 15 years. Meeting Sarah changed the trajectory of my life. I wouldn’t be where I am today, without her. Thank you Sarah for loving me and trusting me. I love you and I miss you so so much.❤️ by @imkaleidoscoping
