Not always knowing where I’m going. Not always feeling inspired. Not always waking up excited about what comes next.

Sometimes just staying.

There have been days lately where I’ve had to learn that being okay doesn’t always mean feeling okay.

Sometimes being okay looks like getting dressed anyway. Taking the picture anyway. Putting on a song and letting yourself disappear into it for a few minutes.

Sometimes it’s laughing when you don’t really feel like laughing.

Sometimes it’s admitting, “Yeah... I’m struggling right now.” And then giving yourself permission to struggle without deciding that the struggle is who you are.

I’m learning that depression doesn’t always look like sadness.

Sometimes it looks like feeling disconnected from yourself. Sometimes it looks like questioning everything. Sometimes it’s wondering if you’re falling behind while everyone else seems to be moving forward.

And sometimes, somehow, you still find a little bit of light.

Maybe that’s what these pictures are.

Not proof that I have everything figured out. Just proof that I’m still becoming.

Still experimenting. Still creating. Still finding little pieces of myself I thought I lost.

I don’t know exactly where I’m going yet.

But I’m learning to be gentle with the person who’s trying to get there.

And maybe, for right now, that’s enough.
