Last night was the beginning of an amazing @immersefest weekend put on by @creativecityproject in downtown Orlando! If you missed it, come on out tonight from 5pm-11pm because it is an epic evening of art, music, dance, and interactive entertainment all 100% free to the public! This is literally one of the coolest events in Orlando and it’s wild how much pure, raw, talent is packed into a few downtown city blocks! I have the pleasure of being a part of the Emmy award winning @actifycreative media team this year working alongside some of the most talented and kind creatives in the game here in Fl. Immerse Fest ended today with daytime fireworks around Lake Eola. The weekend celebrated over 170 artists and art organizations in downtown Orlando. Can’t wait until next year! If you attended, tell us in the comments your favorite part of the weekend. by @immersefest

Thank you for the immense support of @immersefest from our community! Together, we’re platforming artists to transform @thecitybeautiful. 75 million visitors a year encounter the theme parks, convention centers and hotels within the borders of @ocfl.

Creative City Project is platforming our community as a destination for cultural tourism on the global stage while also benefitting our community. IMMERSE cultivates artists, and provides residents meaningful creative encounters in the public spaces of Downtown Orlando.

We’re cultivating memories that last a lifetime and building deeper relationships between artists, audiences and this place we call home. Orange County commissioners have accepted a recommendation that could send $22.5 million to Creative City Project, giving IMMERSE the chance to support more artists, build bigger creative ideas and keep pushing Downtown Orlando into something more ambitious.

But the money is not guaranteed yet. The county still has to figure out how much of its wish list it can actually afford.

As Creative City Project founder Cole NeSmith told us: “The funding doesn’t change what we do. It changes the scale of what’s possible.”

Thank you to the Orange County Board of County Commissioners for their consideration of Creative City Project recieving funds from the Tourist Development Tax fund to help grow IMMERSE Fest and amplify arts and culture in Orlando. @ocfl   Today at 9am the Orange County Tourist Development Tax Citizen Advisory Task Force will present their recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners.   This thank you message was filmed at our Artist Launch for IMMERSE 2027, just a few weeks ago. The room was filled with nearly 200 artists all interested in bringing their projects to life at IMMERSE Fest.

THANK YOU! On behalf of the hundreds of partners and thousands of artists who make @immersefest what it is, we say thank you to the people of @ocfl. Yesterday was an important milestone in amplifying our creative community to elevate @thecitybeautiful as “Creative City, USA.” There are more steps to go. A vote by the Tourist Development Council and approval by the Board of County Commissioners. But yesterday’s vote by the TDT Task Force is the most important - laying the foundation for success moving forward. And tonight, Wednesday, August 12, we’re gathering to plan for IMMERSE 2027, presented by @adventhealthcfl. 7 pm at @abbeyorlando in @dwntwn_orlando.
