💔 This was meant to be a quick “one year since Lost Evenings Edinburgh” post.
A year ago today, I was standing on the MAIN STAGE at the Corn Exchange - MY FUCKING HOMETOWN - playing a sold-out Lost Evenings with my brothers in The Haunted Hearts, alongside Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls and Arab Strap.

A venue I never imagined I’d even get into, never mind end up standing on that stage.

Then yesterday Frank announced he’s taking a well-earned break and suddenly this post feels a little different.

Frank - thanks for everything. ❤️ For the gigs, the opportunities, the ridiculous adventures, the laughs, the encouragement, and for always making me feel like I belong. ✊

From Berlin to Edinburgh, Antwerp to Dundee, Hamburg, Vegas, LA, Zurich and everywhere in between - we’ve somehow ended up in some pretty unbelievable places together. I still look back at some of it and think, ‘How the hell did that actually happen?’ 🔥

So here’s to Lost Evenings.

To Frank and The Sleeping Souls.

To Arab Strap, The Haunted Hearts, the crew, Emma, Irish Rob & Christian @ Bannermans, Liam, Withered Hand - and everyone who was there and helped make it what it was. 🙏

Cheers for all the memories - let’s make some more! As a wiser man than me once said, the future is unwritten. 🖤

never say i don’t suffer for my “art”. checking out another location for a music video the other day. tore my jeans, tore my leg, got bitten by a load of mosquitoes (to which i am allergic) and the location was too overgrown to use. but a fun little adventure anyway.

Nice to be back at the Gin Palace for another livestream with master distiller Lesley Gracie the other day - full of wonderful stories and good humour.
