📣COVER REVEAL📣

Of Aether & Embers (Harbingers Book 2) by @harperhawthorne is out on 17 October and I’m so happy to share this beautiful cover by @storywrappers🤩

If you would like the chance to read OEAE early, then E-ARC applications are now live at harperhawthorne.com/arcs

Paperback preorders are also now on Harper’s Etsy and select indie retailers, help us unlock rewards in the preorder campaign

Blurb (‼️spoilers for book 1!!‼️)

“TWO FATES ENTANGLED…”
Months have passed since Kieran Vistarii made a choice, breaking his own heart and shattering the trust of the woman he loves. Since that dark day, he’s been on a relentless hunt for the enemy who forced his hand, but Caen remains infuriatingly elusive. As violent urges rise from within, Kieran can feel his sanity slipping through his fingers... but he’ll stop at nothing to find his way back to her.

In the wake of betrayal, Arken Asher finds herself isolated, plagued by nightmares and regret. As she struggles to process a loss that no one else seems to truly understand, she moves through Sophrosyne like a specter, haunted and hollow—until she meets a handsome stranger in the Biblyos, willing and eager to lead her back to a life worth living.

“ANOTHER ENTWINED.”
As the Lord of Embers, High Lord of Atlas, and the most prolific Fire Conduit this realm has ever seen, Viktor de Laurent is no stranger to the weight of power and privilege—a burden he’s been bearing alone for years. Viktor has long since resigned himself to a life of service without companionship, but everything changes when he stumbles into a certain golden-eyed Conduit and her curious mind.

Of Aether & Embers is Book Two in the Harbingers series, a captivating and character-driven romantasy saga. Rife with sizzling tension, gut-wrenching angst, addictive banter, and ever-growing stakes, the Harbingers series is perfect for fans of Penn Cole, Raven Kennedy, and Melissa K. Roehrich.

Wow⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Firstly, thank you so much Vivian and IRIS influencer society for sending me an ARC.

I’m so so happy that I randomly stumbled across the incredible art of Eloise and Kodhan on insta as this is now hands down one of my favourite romantasy books I’ve ever read. It was a book where I was torn between wanting to read it all in one sitting and savouring it as I didn’t want it to end! I settled on inhaling it in 2 sittings😌

I absolutely adored Eloise and Kodhan, but am also so happy that the ‘side’ characters had actual personalities and that the relationships were fully formed and meaningful. I genuinely cared so much about all 4 of the protagonists and that’s rare, especially for the first book in a series!

This is out TOMORROW in hardback, paperback and on KU so go and pre-order now!!💫

What To Expect:
📖single POV adult fantasy romance
🖤Enemies to lovers
⚔️ Deadly trials
✨Elemental magic
🤭Witty banter
❤️‍🔥Slow burn
🫶Found family
💀Touch her and d!e (or burn👀)
💞Forced proximity
🔥Fire wielding MMC
🔮Cursed FMC
🐉Dragons
🌶️some spice (easily skippable!)

Now, if need me I’ll be impatiently waiting for book 2 x

I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader and I’m so so grateful as I loved every second. I can’t believe it’s Olive’s debut novel!!

I’ve read so many fantasy/romantasy books and whilst this had some of the classic tropes which we all know and love, it still managed to feel fresh and truly unique. I especially loved our FMC Eneza who was flawed and messy but so loveable.

Also the plot twist genuinely took me by surprise but didn’t feel shoehorned in for the sake of a twist which is one of my biggest pet peeves. After finishing it I went back and skimmed through some of the earlier chapters on the hunt for crumbs and all I will say is that Olive is very clever and I’m SO ready for book 2🙂‍↕️

Synopsis:
Our FMC Eneza grew up as the only human among a colony of magical creatures after her birth mother died when she was a baby. Determined to investigate a blight that is destroying the once fruitful and vibrant land, she finds herself on the run. Along the way, she encounters two human soldiers who offer her protection and promise her the answers she desperately seeks.

What to expect:
🌀 unique magic system
🫀a messy, emotional fmc
💖a love triangle
🧚whimsical world building
📜political intrigue
🫶found family
🤯plot twists
🧠mental health rep
🌶️some spice (easily skippable!)

Thanks again, Olive for trusting me with your book. I’m so excited to see what you do in the future!🫶

Happy Daybreak UK release day🏰💖

Daybreak was one of my most anticipated reads and it was everything and more. This duet was truly perfect and I’m already itching to reread.

This book focused a lot more on Alex and I saw so much of myself in him as we explored his mental health and coping with the declining health of a parent. I loved that whilst his love with Ophelia added happiness to his life, it was never presented as a solution and his problems didn’t magically disappear when they were together.

I also of course love my grumpy girl Ophelia and I’ve never been so happy for a character to have a happy ending.

Autumn, I will honestly read your shopping list at this point. Thank you for creating this masterpiece.

Scars Beneath a Serpent’s Scales by @bynicoleplatania ✨

I’m SO excited to read this as I’ve heard nothing but good things and absolutely loved The Curse of Ophelia series.

Of Lust and Lunacy by @harperhawthorne ❤️‍🔥

I’ve already read this but needed a shelf trophy! It made the ending of Of Blood and Aether (book 1) pack so much more of a punch. I’m so desperate for book 2🙏

I recommend reading this in tandem with OBAE for the biggest emotional impact: read ch1-56 of OBAE, then the entirety of OLAL and then finish OBAE.

Good luck🙂‍↕️

A Wraith Beneath the Tides by @authoremiliajae 🧜‍♀️

This is another book I’ve heard nothing but good things about. If the FMC is the morally grey one then I’m immediately sold.

The Song of Salt and Shadow by @serenrose.author 🏴‍☠️

This recently got picked up for trad publishing (congrats!!) so I’m so happy that I got a copy of the indie version. This is a standalone so will be perfect when I want to inhale a fantasy book and not worry about cliffhangers🤩

The Friendship Fling by @georgiastonewrites 💌

This is the first book in a series of interconnected standalones and I recently read ‘The Roommate Rule’ which was a 6 ⭐️ read for me so obviously I have to read this. From the glimpses we got of Finn and Ava in TRR, I know I’ll absolutely love this🥰 taken in Bookstagram by @immyisreading
