POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Yesterday I had a special life moment. One of my animations was screened as part of an evening of Film music by the Guildhall School of Music at The Barbican! With a live orchestra!! It was so exciting and sounded so pitch perfect cool. My wonderful talented composer Wenshan Yu @wenshanmusic created an atmospheric evocative score that really works to emphasise and support my simple paper cut graphics. This clip is a taster…
Feeling very inspired and even more in love with my new animation life choice.

Had the sheer delight of hearing Yann Tiersen @hiddennotes___ festival last weekend. This is a short response. #paperanimation #papercuttingart #hiddennotes #hand #shadowanimation taken in Stroud, Gloucestershire by @imogenharveylewisanimation

Bird in Hand.
I’ve been exploring illustration ideas for my next animated short ‘You Told me That and it Made me Feel Like This’.
For some reason the image of a dead bird in hand keeps coming to mind - an ending of one chapter and the beginning of something new. Sad but poignant and significant.
I’ll see where it takes me.
