Today, my third single from the album, titled Lost, has been released. 🍃
I have so many emotions swirling around about this one. Although this song just had to come out, believe me, it didn’t come easily. It may be the track that took the longest to create, even back in its demo days. I spent months shaping the idea, discarding it, then bringing it back, rewriting, retracting, and rewriting it again. At one point, I didn’t even like it, and then somehow, I found myself loving it without really knowing why.

In the studio, we recorded it in two different versions, each with a different time signature, but the song shrugged off all the ideas and brought us back to its original vision. (Not a coincidence, as the song itself speaks to wandering, letting go, searching for home, and finding peace.)

This release is a big deal for me—not only because it truly feels like a “release” in every sense of the word, but also because now it’s only one week until you can hear the entire musical world I envisioned around these songs in full context.

The video for Lost is also out on YouTube. My friend @tatuska and I felt that the more authentic the visuals, the better it would reflect the message of the song: that sometimes, it’s okay to take a winding path to find the right one, and that stumbling along the way is important, too. So, true to that spirit, without any grand gestures, we filmed the visuals in the forest on a phone, shot a one take, and edited it entirely on the phone as well. I hope you’ll love it. Right now, I’m just so happy that this song exists. 💜

Last week marked a milestone for me.

I had the chance to be part of a concert where I was equally excited as a performer and as a mother. 🥹

The talented students of our music school were accompanied by the Sopron Symphony Orchestra, and my son, Marci, performed a movement from a Vanhal piano concerto. I was so proud of him, walking on the stage wearing his father's wedding suit 😳🙈 while me holding my phone with trembling hands to capture the moment.

On top of that, the wonderful community of our jazz department performed together in a beautiful arrangement of Ain’t No Sunshine, inspired by Eva Cassidy’s version of the song. My heartfelt thanks and admiration go to Christopher Willis for the arrangement! It fulfilled a long-time bucket-list dream of mine. 🙏🏻

And the cherry on top was experiencing all of this together with my husband, who was also performing in the orchestra. ❤️

A múlt hét mérföldkő volt számomra.

Olyan koncerten vehettem részt, ahol egyszerre izgultam fellépőként és édesanyaként. 🥹

A Soproni Szimfonikus Zenekar kísérte a zeneiskolánk tehetséges növendékeit, és a fiam, Marci is zongorázott egy Vanhal-koncerttételt. Olyan büszke voltam rá, ahogy felsétált a színpadra (az apukája esküvői öltönyében! 😳🙈), és közben én remegő kézzel próbálkoztam megörökíteni ezt a pillanatot.

Ráadásul a jazz tanszakunk szuper tanári gárdája is együtt mutatkozott be az Ain’t No Sunshine csodálatos, Eva Cassidy által inspirált hangszerelésével. Ezúton is hálám és rajongásom Christopher Willisnek az átiratért! Ezzel egy régi bakancslistás álmom teljesült. 🙏🏻

A ráadás pedig az volt, hogy mindezt a férjemmel együtt élhettem át, aki szintén a zenekarban játszott. ❤️

Last night we had the joy of playing music from the Aurea album together with @olahkrisztianofficial again, and it felt just as special as ever. ✨

It was also really inspiring to hear him speak during the brainpicking session and share his thoughts about music, creativity, and musicality with the jazz students. So many valuable moments to take with us. 💎

With his improvisations, he created such a unique atmosphere throughout the evening, we all felt carried away. 🌊

And it made me especially happy to see students there too — both on stage and in the audience. Very proud of them. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who spent this beautiful evening with us.

Tegnap este ismét együtt játszhattunk Krisztiánnal az Aurea album dalaiból, és most is ugyanolyan izgalmas élmény volt. ✨

Nagyon inspiráló volt a brainpicking beszélgetés is, ahol a jazz tanszak hallgatóival megosztotta a gondolatait a zenéről, kreativitásról és zeneiségről; sok értékes útravalót kaptunk. 💎

Az improvizációival egészen egyedi atmoszférát teremtett. 🌊

Külön öröm volt látni a tanítványokat is a színpadon és a közönségben. Nagyon büszkék vagyunk rájuk. ❤️

There are projects that bring new friendships into your life - friendships that lead back to music again.

I remember first meeting Zoli thanks to a theatre project more than ten years ago (he’s the one in the photos who is not my husband, Misi 🙂), and we’ve been friends in music and beyond ever since.

Now, after all this time, we can finally check the box of sharing a song together.

“Ez az a ház” was born last year, and now Zoli is celebrating the release of his 8-song album, Városi Western.
Congrats, Zoli! 🤍

🇺🇸photodumping.

this year included a bit of a pause — less online presence, more attention to where I actually am.
lately, many things have been happening at once: teaching a lot — kids, teenagers, adults — vocal studies, music literature, music theory, solfège; conducting, singing again in a wonderful vocal ensemble, and I could go on listing exciting music projects.
it is a blessing to do so many different things.✨

2–3: 💜 Goldmark Vocal Ensemble, and a category-winner performance at the Kodály Choral Competition in November
4–5–6: Mini tour with my classical musician colleagues, performing traditional Hungarian Christmas songs. Slides 5–6 show a special venue: a pálinka distillery!
7–8: Concerts (and food at the mayor’s office!) with my jazz musician colleagues
9: Singing with my jazz voice students — and the audience
10: First tryout of a cool musical board game, Xilofun, created by my dear music therapist friend, Sőnfeld Mátyás. I contributed by singing one of the songs for the website. Lucky bonus: @anka.lang as the illustrator of both the game and the website ❤️
11–12–13: Singing with friends — a wind orchestra, a gospel choir, and a swing quartet
14–15–16: My youngest group of students, with whom I simply love being in the classroom — and on stage, too!

🇺🇸There are things in life that simply have to happen.
When I look back at who I was a few years ago and at the aspirations I held on to so deeply, it’s hard to believe I’ve arrived at the first birthday of my first album. 🎈

Many small steps, almost miraculous, fate-like moments, a few years of working day and night, some setbacks — but thankfully even more successful encounters — and that never-ending driving force that feels like it was sent from above… Today, I just want to say thank you for all of it.

Happy 1st birthday, Aurea. 🤍

🇭🇺Vannak dolgok, amiknek egyszerűen meg kell történniük. Ha visszatekintek a pár évvel ezelőtti önmagamra és a mélyen dédelgetett vágyaimra, alig hiszem el: az első albumom első szülinapjához érkeztem. 🎈

Sok apró lépés, csodával határos, sorsszerű történések, néhány éjjel-nappal végigdolgozott év, pár kudarcos — de hála Istennek még több sikeres — találkozás, és az a soha el nem fogyó hajtóerő, amit valahonnan fentről küldtek… Ma mindezt szeretném megköszönni.
