I watched a ball roll slowly across the pavement today….Nothing special about it, but for a second I noticed how different it felt from the pace most of us live.

As adults, there’s always something to carry.

A responsibility.
A deadline.
A bill.
A decision.
A problem that needs solving.

And when we finally make it to one finish line, there’s usually another one waiting. It’s easy to believe we have to keep moving to keep everything from falling apart. But sometimes the reset is part of carrying the load…it’s a few quiet minutes in the breeze….it’s sitting still before stepping back into everything that needs you.

The work …the responsibilities will still be there. But you’ll return to them differently.

My children will not carry what God has broken off them.
