🏀 The 3 Shooting Fundamentals EVERY Player Needs

Great shooting doesn’t have to be complicated.

At Impact Hoops, we build every shot around 3 fundamentals:

1️⃣ Body Position
2️⃣ Hand Position
3️⃣ Pro Finish

When you learn to do these three things properly and consistently, you’re training your body to shoot STRAIGHT shots.

Because before we worry about making more shots, we have to learn how to consistently send the basketball straight toward the target. 🎯

Master the fundamentals. Build repeatability. Make more shots.

BODY. HANDS. FINISH.

That’s how shooters are built. 🏀🔥

Belief comes before the breakthrough. 🏀🔥 Confidence grows every time you put in the work, see progress, and remind yourself what you’re capable of.

You’ll miss shots. You’ll make mistakes. Keep believing anyway. One play doesn’t define you—trust your preparation and step into the next moment ready.

At Impact Hoops, we teach, affirm, and Speak Life—because players need someone who believes in them while they learn to believe in themselves.

We Believe. 💯

The words we speak to players matter. 🗣️🏀

During HS Elite training, Coach Chad reminds our athletes that we see more in them than the last shot they made or missed. We challenge them, believe in them, and speak life over who they’re becoming.

We teach. We affirm. We Speak Life. 💪

Your guide hand should GUIDE—not shoot. 🏀

If your left hand stays on the ball too long, the thumb can flick and manipulate the shot, causing unnecessary misses.

Get the guide hand off the ball. Let your shooting hand finish straight through the rim. Cleaner release. Better rotation. More consistency.

Small adjustment. BIG difference.

Shooting is the Separator. 🎯
