We’re grateful to Iyanuoluwa Adebiyi, Venture Support and Investment Associate at Impact Hub Lagos, for joining Cohort 3 of the Innovation Managers Executive Learning Program (IMELP) and leading an insightful session on Developing Strategic Investment Partnerships for Startup Growth.

Drawing on her experience supporting ventures and working across investment, Iyanuoluwa explored how innovation managers can help ventures define their growth objectives, identify strategic investment partners and evaluate funding options, including equity, corporate venture capital and grants.

Participants also explored the practical side of building investment partnerships, including financial terms, legal and governance frameworks, communication, risk mitigation and managing partnerships throughout their lifecycle.

Thank you, Iyanuoluwa, for sharing your experience and giving our cohort a practical look at the role strategic investment partnerships can play in strengthening Africa’s innovation ecosystem.

We were pleased to serve as an Ecosystem Partner for the Lagos Venture Finance Summit 2026, in partnership with Vencapital.

As part of the partnership, Impact Hub Lagos hosted Day 1 of the Summit on September 3rd — the LP-GP Dealroom and Pre-Conference Mixer.

The LP-GP Dealroom brought together LPs and GPs for focused conversations around investment opportunities, partnerships and potential relationships. This was followed by the Pre-Conference Mixer, bringing together stakeholders from across Nigeria’s investment and venture ecosystem.

Through our role, Impact Hub Lagos contributed to creating a space where capital providers, fund managers and ecosystem leaders could connect, exchange insights and explore opportunities for collaboration and investment.

We were also proud to participate in the broader Summit on September 4th, with Kevwe Jefia representing Impact Hub Lagos as a moderator.

At Impact Hub Lagos, we remain committed to connecting capital, talent and opportunities, and to creating platforms that strengthen Africa’s investment and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Thank you to Vencapital for the partnership, and to everyone who joined us. by @impacthublagos

GITEX Nigeria 2026 came to Lagos, and we were right there!

As partners, we’re proud to be part of an event bringing founders, innovators and businesses together to connect, learn and explore opportunities shaping Africa’s tech ecosystem.

A key highlight for us was our panel, “The First Cheque: How African Founders Can Unlock Early-Stage Capital.”

The conversation explored what it takes for founders to prepare for investment, build investor confidence and secure that crucial first cheque.

From the panel to the conversations happening around the venue, it was a day of ideas, connections and possibilities.

Being a founder takes more than a great idea.

In 2026, building a sustainable business also means building the skills to lead, adapt, communicate, manage resources, embrace AI, build relationships and tell your story.

Because skills build businesses. Businesses create jobs. And strong entrepreneurs help build stronger economies.

At Impact Hub Lagos, we’re committed to helping founders keep learning, growing and creating impact.

Which of these skills are you currently working on?
