This is the work process for my American Indian drawing that shows all the ugly stages along the way to get to the final result. While at times I feel like my process is improving, it still makes me cringe to watch the playback😂

Hello friends! This drawing of a young American Indian woman was made from a reference photo I found on Pinterest. I thought it was a challenging drawing to make, and it was the first time that I tried drawing a lot of jewelry detail. At first it seemed rather daunting and I wondered why I chose this piece, but in time I worked out how to make beads look handmade and it turned out to be a lot of fun.
I owe a big thank you to @yvurdem for sharing his techniques and his brushes with me, and thanks to @katerina_leletskaya for being an inspiration to me, just when I needed it.🙂

This is the process video for my latest drawing, in the Procreate 30 second version, unedited, except for adding pictures to the ends. The reference is a black and white photo I found on Pinterest. I had never tried drawing just grayscale in digital format, so I thought it would be a fun challenge.
I had to sacrifice some of the side by side part in order to fit the format here, but you get the idea. I think that I spent more time fussing with the details of this drawing than I should have, but I had fun anyway.

This drawing was made entirely in grayscale, using a reference I found on Pinterest. I thought it would be a good exercise for two reasons. First, I’ve never tried making a digital drawing in only grayscale, and secondly I wanted to see if I could match the expression in the eyes of the reference photo. Overall, I like how it turned out, but I don’t think I conveyed quite the same sparkle in the eyes. I’ll keep practicing😁

Thank you all soo much! I appreciate each and every one of you! Your support keeps me going😃 And a big thank you to @ndiyas_ who gave me a huge boost when no one here even knew who I was, I am forever grateful for your kindness🙂 by @importech747

This drawing was an exercise in details, made from a reference photo that I found on Pinterest. I had been wanting to do a super close up for some time, and this example was just what I had been looking for.
A huge thank you to my super talented artist friend @yvurdem, who came along at just the right time and introduced me to his Ultimate Digital Painting Course. Using the techniques I learned from him, I was able to create this drawing in about half the time I typically spend. Wow!
Oh, and if anyone cares, there’s an easter egg, (something hidden) in this drawing. It was totally unplanned, just something I saw in the reference photo. Did you find it?😃 by @importech747

Work process for my blue eyed girl. Sorry for the bad video editing, lol by @importech747

This started as eye practice that evolved into this portrait. I’m pretty happy with how it came out. Big thank you to my mentor, without your encouragement I would never have gotten this far🙏🏻❤️😃 by @importech747
