I finally finished up this gentleman this evening. He was a blast to paint especially when following the paint along guide that @craftworldstudio has available on their patreon.

I definitely learned that i should be putting in concerted effort to getting my blending smoother as I can see MUCH room for improvement.

Also: I wrote and recorded the background music.

Almost forgot to get this one posted! Another week through another model finished.

Being completely honest I spent so much time on the skin I had to rush to finish the rest of the model and ended up making some mistakes getting other paint on the skin.

Add this one to the list of things to come back to later and repaint. by @impossibilitybox

This weeks mini is done! The Orc Cheerleader!

The theme was hot pink. I am at a complete loss as to how people paint even thickness, smooth lines freehand.

I digitally kit-bashed the model from three different stl files and sculpted the skirt myself.

One die I might try and repaint this one when my skills are a bit better.

So...Setting this goal of one mini a week does mean some compromises have to be made.

At a certain point I had to realize that I am not going to be able to finish this to the level that I would prefer and that settling for "good enough" is something that I can actually live with.

There are many areas that I would love to improve but for the amount of time that I was able to put into this one I am still pretty happy with it.

Finally got this week's miniature done!

I am NOT skilled with figures at this scale but I am happy with how the whole thing came together. I might have actually had more fun sculpting the base in blender then painting it but that's part of what's fun with this hobby, there's always something to entertain oneself.

This weeks mini is finally completed!

I really pushed myself with the OSL and am quite happy with the result. I could probably spend more time working on the blending but that was not the purpose of this model.

A WIP for this week's mini that I only have 2 more days to finish.

It's my first attempt at doing OSL and I'll tell you something for free... Trying to rewire your brain to account for light proximity and angle on different surfaces with different meterials on such a small scale is certainly a challenge.

I have a new respect for the masters that paint really convincing OSL.

My second model in my attempt to paint one per week for the rest of the year. I barely got this guy done within my self imposed deadline.

I tried a new technique in painting inspired largely by @craftworldstudio and Murray from @itstabletoptime by starting the basecoat with some vibrant and highly contrasting colors before bringing in the proper mid-tones and highlights.Still some improving to do (and those stupid chalky whites/flesh highlights) but I am quite satisfied with the result.

A really cool sculpt with a VERY gruesome backstory from @realsteone 's MMF store. Printed on an Elegoo Mars 2 Pro.

This is my first solid go at doing proper TMM. Based with Balthasar Gold, mid tones in Vallejo Old Gold, highlights in Vallejo Gold, and specular highlights in Runefang steel. Tints and shades applied were necessary.

My goal is to paint at least one miniature a week for the rest of the year. This is the first model in that venture.

This is the first sculpt I've painted where before I put any paint to model I thought through my end goal AND the steps along the way. Doing this hopefully will allow me to focus on the goal and not worry about perfecting parts that in the end will be covered up or changed entirely by a later step.

Also I absolutely adore this sculpt my Spiramirabilis. by @impossibilitybox
