Yesterday, we installed some new nameplates. 16 in total. There is still an opportunity to donate as there is space for a further 20 nameplates. Please go to our JustGiving page - linked in our bio. by @improvingilkley

**Phase 2 donations**

Over the next couple of days, a new concrete ring is being laid in preparation for the next set of naming plates. As before, these will be fabricated in corten steel and will circumnavigate the original set. You do still have the opportunity to donate, however we will be finalising this particular set, this week. As before with the first set, (and to ensure fairness), donations are being received from £250, with a 20 character limit, including spaces. Please remember when donating, to include GiftAid and in addition and if easier, businesses are able to donate by invoice directly. Email: improvingilkley@gmail.com if you’d prefer to donate in this way.
Please find the JustGiving page in our bio.

FYI: the fountain spray has been adjusted temporarily and some of the plants moved to the station plaza flowerbeds, that have been fully pruned and weeded this week.

Thankyou for your continued support. by @improvingilkley

🌿 Fountain Clean & Plant-Up – Sunday 6th July from 3pm

Come along to the fountain site Sunday 6th and get stuck in with some community planting and a summer spruce-up!

Thanks to the success of our Fountain Pieces fundraiser and support from @ilkleybid , we’re now able to bring some much-needed greenery to the space – even before Phase 2 begins.

If you fancy lending a hand, we’d love your help. It’s also a great chance to hear what’s coming next… our Phase 2 plans launch in early September!

Come find treasure today ✨

We’ve taken pieces of the Ilkley Fountain — yes, actual pieces of it — given them a polish and a proper glow-up, and they’re now up for grabs at @tinkergallery

Finished by local blacksmith Tom Bromley and stamped with love (and a hammer), they’re available in a range of sizes (£50–£125). Every penny goes straight into Phase 2 of the fountain project — so you get a slice of Ilkley’s past and help shape its future.

Swing by today between 11am and 3pm — artist Louise Hepworth-Wood will be in the gallery with gallery owner Joanne Tinker, for chats, questions, and enthusiastic pointing.

🗓 Sunday 1st June
📍 Tinker Gallery, Ilkley
⏰ 11am–3pm

Own a piece of Ilkley’s history!

Original elements from the Ilkley Fountain, designed with holes inspired by sphagnum moss, have had a glow-up and are now for sale at Tinker Gallery. Polished and stamped by local blacksmith Tom Bromley, they’re available in 4 sizes (£50–£125), with all proceeds going to Phase 2 of the fountain project.

Find them at Tinker Gallery on Sunday 1st & Sunday 8th June, 11am–3pm, alongside Louise Hepworth-Wood’s solo show Just Disco. She’ll be there in person to chat and help with sales!
