POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Fated Mates. Hidden Daggers. No script. 📖🔥

@improvisedromantasy is officially taking over the Fremont Stage at @ioimprov every single Friday night this June, and we are serving up the highest-heat, unscripted fantasy romance Chicago has ever seen. ⚔️✨

Grab your bookmarks, because here is your official June Reading List:

🗓️ June 5th: MERMAIDS & PIRATES 🧜‍♀️🏴‍☠️
Opening Night! A lethal coven of sirens baring their teeth against a morally gray pirate captain. Expect crossed swords, locked cabins, and “only one bed” energy.

🗓️ June 12th: WESTERN 🤠🔮
Spurs, spells, and shifting shadows. He’s the fastest gun in the West, she’s the most dangerous magic on the frontier, and this town isn’t big enough for their attraction.

🗓️ June 19th: SHADOW DADDY (Father’s Day Weekend) 🖤🪽
Who’s your (Shadow) Daddy? We’re celebrating Father’s Day weekend with wings, wicked shadows, and that intense “who did this to you?” energy of your dreams.

🗓️ June 26th: PRIDE🌈👑
We are closing out the month with sword-crossing, spell-slinging, and the ultimate unscripted queer fantasy celebration.

Will they plunder each other’s hearts, or burn the realm to ashes? You hold the quill every Friday night. 🖋️❤️‍🔥

Would you kindly step through the rift? ⏳⚙️

On Saturday, November 7th, step outside the stream of time for THE 13TH HOUR - an immersive gala where 1893 World’s Fair opulence collides with time-traveling sci-fi energy.

Best of all? Every ticket purchased helps us fuel the 13th Hour to power Otherworld Theatre’s entire 2026/2027 season of innovative sci-fi and fantasy storytelling.

🎭 DRESS CODE: Gilded Age Elegance, Steampunk Finery, Time-Traveler, or Anachronistic Chic.

🔥 SUBMIT TO THE TENSION 🔥

We are bringing the absolute highest heat to iO Fest on Sunday, July 26th at 8 PM, and we aren’t holding anything back. ⚔️❤️‍🔥

Get ready for an unscripted fantasy romance where the chemistry is volatile, the glances are lingering, and the “who did this to you?” energy is dialed all the way up. We are taking our characters from sworn enemies to completely unraveled, building an entire magical world on the spot.

No script. No safety net. You hand our cast your favorite spicy BookTok tropes, the morally gray villains, and the fated-mate drama, and we bring those restricted-section pages to life right before your eyes.

Will they give into the desire, or burn the entire realm down?

Festival tickets are on sale now, but a high-heat slot like this won’t stay open for long. Grab your seats, bring an ice-cold drink, and come watch us turn up the heat at iO Fest!

Happy Pride, Chicago! This week, Improvised Romantasy is summoning our ultimate forms for a night dedicated to Pride.

The twist? You hold the cosmic quill. You hand our cast the magical tropes, the dramatic transformations, and the spiciest prompts, and we spin it into a completely unscripted, deeply queer fantasy adventure right before your eyes. ⚔️🏳️‍🌈

Dress in your magical best and let’s make some magic happen.
