Holy shit this is a long time coming. Today (in Chicago time) is the birthday of one of the most important people in my life. He’s seen me on the far edge, in the bottom of the pit (or the moat), and no matter what was always willing to get deep in the sludge and help me out of it. This person has inspired me to keep pushing even when the world says you’ve done enough, and continues to help me grow as a human even while he starts another 17 projects while starting a family. He’s true to his word every single day, and is honest about where he can improve and grow. I hope to one day have the same kind of mastery of life that he does - but for now, I will just keep watching and learning and absorbing from this absolute legend. Yes I am using that word unironically.

So, from the bottom of my heart, Happy Birthday @stu_v2 - I love you man.

Here’s to 10,000 more years of Stu & Rob adventures. Around the world. Around the whole galaxy. Until time itself stops but then we’ll build a cool portal gun to time travel and run it back.

I MADE IT!!! Well, sorta?? 75 days of 2 workouts a day, with some diet restrictions and reading. 75HARD became 75FIRM for me though, to be more palatable - instead of worrying about my workouts being 3+ hours apart, and having to be 45 straight minutes minimum, I chose to be lenient if I could only squeeze 20 mins in at a time. I’m happy with my progress.

This challenge, more than anything, really changed my habits and routines, and it was a fun way to connect with my teddies bud will, and my techno PIC @selectiveresponse1 . Kane’s a sicko tho he’s still going on with phase 1. Adding cold showers and visualization and critical task lists is next…

Starting hard75 today with my brother in @crisisofmanofc arms, @selectiveresponse1

Seeing Kane’s dedication to his craft and vision for the future is inspiring for me. He decided to get going on the challenge yesterday and after years of saying I’d do it but not following through, I’m out of excuses.

At the end of this Hard75 I will be three years clean&sober. And hopefully fit as fuck??? 🤞🏻

Befores and afters of 15 months of intentional sobriety and self love. My last year in North Carolina has been some of the most incredible progress I’ve seen/felt both physically and mentally in my whole life. I am eternally grateful to all the boys that keep me honest and pushing - huge love and thanks to @steelebeast @theshawnhendrix @patty.lifts @selectiveresponse1 @stu_v2 for keeping me on this path when I was faltering last summer, and continuing to inspire me to grow.

Also thank you so much brother @fulphilleddev my original inspiration to get big and really commit to my physical well-being.

The biggest learning I have from this time is to just fucking do it, man. Understanding that every day that I don’t at least get a few minutes of focused activity in is taking me out of orbit with my happiest and best self really gave me the perspective I needed to get in there. Whatever it takes to get started - Push ups, a walk, literally whatever to just trick myself into starting and then your body will take over after you shift gears.

More progress soon :)

The end of an era.

I’ve been growing my hair for 5+ years now, and it’s been with me through some great times - but also some very very dark times.

This week to celebrate fifteen months #sober I decided to cut it off to donate, starting a new chapter without relics of my addiction.

Onward and upward.
