My very first Star Wars cosplay… and yes, I went with Morgan Elsbeth.

I’ve been told so many times that I look like @therealdianaleeinosanto who plays Morgan, so when I decided to try cosplay for the first time, I couldn’t resist.

At 44, I never expected to find myself getting into cosplay, but I’m having so much fun with it. From spending hours painting details on the pants to my first 3d printed project, Blade of Talzin, it was a fun experience.

This is just the beginning.

I am absolutely obsessed with my latest General Grievous find!

What’s a collectible item you were excited to find in the wild?

This year, I promised myself I would say yes to new experience, even when they felt uncomfortable, unfamiliar, or completely outside of my comfort zone.
I had no idea one of those decisions would lead me here.

I started my Star Wars journey at 43 years old simply because I fell in love with the wonder of it all. The storytelling, the characters, the community, the feeling of discovering something magical for the very first time.

And somehow… that journey led me to being invited to the world premiere of The Mandalorian & Grogu!

I truly can’t put into words how grateful I feel. To everyone who has followed along with my journey from the very beginning… thank you for being here with me. And thank you to @starwars for making this experience possible. 💚

I originally thought I would spend the night creating the “perfect content,” but instead I found myself simply trying to take it all in… smiling nonstop, feeling emotional, and making memories I know I’ll carry with me forever.

I wanted to share a few of the moments that made this night so special to me.

And yes… I still can’t believe I met Pedro Pascal. 😭

The consensus is that I should definitely get the autograph and photo with Hayden Christensen. But I’m not so sure about the pose… 😳 I think I’ll keep it simple and with a respectful amount of space in between us 😂😂😂 (and I can’t get over the fact they used a pic from “y tu mama tambien”, because I love @diegoluna_

What are your thoughts?

Galaxy’s Edge is calling me back 😭 Anyone else?

That’s pretty much all I wanted to say 🤷🏽‍♀️ I wish I was at Disneyland right now, in Galaxy’s Edge, watching the Shadows of Memory night time projection and light show.

Do you have a Star Wars, or any fandom, bucket list?

I was thinking about what would be on mine, and currently, it’s just an autograph from Hayden Christensen on my Anakin Skywalker cardboard cutout from Attack of the Clones.

A trip to Disneyland last October piqued my interest in Star Wars, which lead me to sharing my journey with others.

Since last October, I’ve watched everything. I started collecting, cosplaying, doing character deep dives. Reading Star Wars books and comics. I attended my first red carpet movie premiere- The Mandalorian and Grogu. I’ve connected with others Star Wars fans, and this is only the beginning.

My journey may have started much later in life, but that’s what’s so beautiful and inspirational about it all. And now, my imagination is alive and thriving again!

Thanks for being along this journey with me!

I’m a metalsmith and jewelry maker, and have an abundance of supplies to create jewelry. I knew that I wanted to create a simple, but fun piece, to add to my General Grievous tee for my upcoming Disneyland trip.

This was a simple project using LEGO mini-fig lightsabers, adding hooks and jump rings and attaching to a charm holder necklace.

And as General Grievous would say... this will make a fine addition to my collection.

Let’s check out the Star Wars movie trailer for the Empire Strikes Back! I immediately noticed that it was narrated by Harrison Ford, which felt so nostalgic! I loved that they reintroduced us to familiar characters and also introduced us to Lando and other fun adventures.

Next up, Return of the Jedi!

This is such a fun adventure to be sharing with you all and I appreciate you all for being here.

What’s a fun Star Wars fact that you love to share with others?

I’m currently deep diving into General Grievous as I prepare to film the first episode of my deep dive series (be sure to subscribe to my YT channel!), and I keep coming across so many fun facts I couldn’t wait to share some with you!

Thanks for joining me on this journey.

I started watching Star Wars last year for the first time at the age of 44, and it just dawned on me that I’ve never watched any of the movie or series trailers. Do you remember seeing the trailers for the first time?

I decided to start this adventure with the original 1977 Star Wars (later re-named Star Wars Episode IV : A New Hope in 1981).

So join me, as I take a journey through Star Wars.

I’m so happy you’re here!
