my favorite freakin story just got better. ours. super long but I’m gonna re read it 5 billion times I moved to San Diego where I knew one person with no job and sublet a room from a guy who happened to be from Oklahoma too who was deploying. ..Garrett came back from deployment, I swapped rooms, and we lived together for six more months in the cutest beach front place, 5111. five years of friendship later we floated the river for Garrett’s bday. he said his tent was big enough to fit Lincoln and I (I didn’t have a tent) but………. he lied lol. he set up a 2 person backpacking tent for us and 2 dogs. to this day he says he was “too drunky” to set up the 6 person tent and that he knew I just wouldn’t care. suuurrreeee. anyways, we laughed so hard that day I choked. just water-falling cheap beer laying on a sheet by the fire together. friendly flirting at its finest we ended up sneaking away from everyone, crammed us and the pups into that tent and for the first time made out and snuggled like crazy. six months later we moved back into that little house together. the making out and laughing never stopped. life just…. became increasingly better. it’s so unreal that that move/risk led me to him and I just I kept thinking… how. could. it. get. better. Just about a year later we packed up and moved to a city we’d never been to. to pursue a job at a hospital he had no connections with. today… we’re in love with our town, achieving the jobs/ dreams we prayed for starting a brand new life together. the best part? I get to do it as his WIFE. (I think I punched him when he asked and started bawling like a baby then said yes) life, even in the challenging times, continues to get better with Garrett. we get stronger and the support is unwavering. that’s how I knew I wanted to keep at it with him forever. anyways. take the risks.. all of them. date your best friend and lean in hard. life feels so unreal. i hope everyone gets the chance to experience what I feel. - helloooo from our new cute little home in Montana, 5117 (crazy, right?) as a FIANCÉ!!!! love you Garrett!!!!!
