📌 The Story Behind “Yuriko Monogatari” 🌸 In 2021, I had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with Sakura FM and share my personal story. It was a big step for me, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that my story inspired others to learn more about my life in Japan and my home country, Indonesia. During the interview, I mainly talked about Yogyakarta, my hometown, sharing its beautiful culture, traditions, and delicious food. I also enjoyed talking about the cultural connections and similarities between Yogyakarta and Kyoto. So, why was this account originally called “Yuriko Monogatari”? The name comes from my name, Yuriko, and the Japanese word monogatari (物語), which means “story.” I chose this name because this account has always been a place where I share my personal journey, experiences, and everyday life since moving permanently to Japan. The word monogatari was also inspired by my love for Japanese music. If you listen to Japanese songs, you’ll notice that this beautiful word appears quite often. I wanted a name that felt meaningful, memorable, and uniquely connected to me. In 2025, I changed the account name to my company’s name. Since this account is now connected to my business and official paperwork, the name will remain the same for professional and administrative purposes. However, the heart of this account hasn’t changed. It’s still a place where I share my stories, experiences, and little moments from my life in Japan. I hope you enjoy following my journey and discovering more about my life in Japan, as well as a little bit of Indonesia along the way. Thank you so much for being here and supporting me! Standing 17 meters high, this ethereal cascade drops right over the edge of the volcanic cliffs.   I missed out on the rowing boat lottery this time, but the clifftop trail didn't disappoint. Walking the path along the edge gives you a bird’s-eye view of the sheer basalt columns and the rushing river below.
