My first ICCA! 🎶

I really enjoyed 9 minutes 57 seconds on the stage! Perfect pitches and dynamics, we served so much! the cheers and applause from the audience are the best affirmation of our practices.

We prepared a lot for ICCA. Because this year ICCA was so early, so we have to practice almost everday in new semester beginning. From 7 to 11pm, armory, arc and crce all left our marks. Once I missed the chinese new year eve dinner because of rehearsal. Although I felt a bit homesick, but y’all my family here and I am so happy to have my new year with y‘all.

Especially thank you Renna, our music director. Thank you for bringing this special set to NSA. We can't do it without you. Your brain is the most precious wealth in the world. I wonder know where your inspiration come and why you could arrange a 10 minutes full music set in such a short time. Your arrangement is like literature, which makes people want to explore the details and deep meanings in it. Renna I love you. I want people all over the world to hear your arrangement and know how talented you are. You are the best music director ever.

I think our set is the embodiment of vitality: the birth of a new life in Ripples In The Sand, the howling of burning life in Grace, the sad lament in Shit Talk, and the narrative of youth in American Teenager. Each song shows LIFE, and I can feel that we are HUMAN from the perfect melody. We have best soloist and vp, and thanks to everyone, we performed the 10 minutes song of life together.

We got the 4th place! Compared with ourselves, our score is higher than last year, which is a great progress. I’m sorry that I cried for a long time yesterday. Aesthetics are subjective, and I think I should realize this. We didn‘t got top 3, but we won the audience’s cheers, friends/families‘ tears, and everyone’s heart. I‘m proud, and I’m also proud of everyone.
