What a Junior Waterman Day Looks Like

Each day will be a little different depending on the conditions. We’ll choose the best location for the day, with an emphasis on exploring somewhere new where possible and making it a bit of an adventure.

The day will include surf coaching, working on technique, ocean knowledge, wave selection and developing confidence in different conditions. We’ll also use surf skate to support the technical work we’re doing in the water.

A pool breathwork session will introduce breath-hold training specifically for surfing, while also helping the kids understand how breathing can be used to manage fear, anxiety and regulate the nervous system.

Throughout the day, we’ll explore performance and recovery states — helping the kids understand when they need to switch on, focus and perform, and when they need to slow down and recover. We’ll look at how these skills can be used not only in surfing, but in competition, school and everyday life.

The overall aim is to combine great surf coaching, adventure and fun with practical skills the kids can carry beyond surfing. Please contact directly for Bookings or information. by @in2surf

#Repost @lucas.jacques15 thanks so much to my team Lucas and Storm for the great work, being so stoked on surfing and bringing it to the next generation.
For years, I’ve simply tried to share what truly inspires me: the ocean, surfing, the joy of being in the water, and the confidence it can build. Seeing a child’s smile after catching their first wave remains one of the greatest rewards of this job.

Today, I had the privilege of experiencing something truly special: coaching alongside Olympic surfer @owright , surrounded by the @surfingaus team, @ausolympicteam team, and incredible people who dedicate their energy to helping this sport grow.

During the Seas The Day Women’s Surf Festival, we shared the ocean with several groups of kids, created lasting memories, built confidence, and most importantly, had an amazing time in the water.

A huge thank you to Surfing Australia for their trust, to @fuller.josh @in2surf for his energy and commitment, and to Owen, Storm, and the entire team for making this day so unforgettable.

Moments like these remind me why I do this job: to share a passion, inspire the next generation, and continue learning from exceptional people.

We had a bit of everything this round – cold, rain, sunshine, then more rain. Pretty much four seasons in one day, but that didn’t stop everyone from having a great time.
A massive thank you to Josh from @in2surf for sponsoring the round and helping out all day long. From judging heats to coaching the groms, he was a huge help and we’re lucky to have his support.
It was great to see every division get in the water, and we also introduced a 12+ Boys Parent Assist division, which got some really positive feedback.
When they weren’t surfing, the kids were busy playing beach footy, hanging around the bonfire and making the most of the day with their mates. That’s what it’s all about.
