Chapter Thirty ♡

A little girl from Taldykorgan, Kazakhstan who had no idea that the world is her oyster.

The gratitude I feel is indescribable. The gratitude for the woman I am today. Gratitude for every single person who has chosen to be a part of my life. Filled with gratitude for all life has given me, taught me, and how it has shaped me. But most of my gratitude is for my twenties. All the moments, big and small, that changed the trajectory of my entire life.

Three major surgeries in a month that really reconnected me with my faith. Three funerals for dear friends that will forever remind me of how precious life is. An injury that stopped my collegiate career and changed my purpose on and off the field. Walking away from relationships to practice self respect. Moving to a new city that forced me to take risks for the life I wanted. Marrying my best friend and leaning into lifelong partnership. Losing weight and discovering a new level of self love. And all the smaller moments that led me to where I am today. These are the moments that shaped me and I’m feeling an overwhelming amount of gratitude for my journey and growth. To close this chapter I wanted to challenge myself one last time, to do something out of my comfort zone, and force myself to grow in the unknown. While also having a little fun.

And now I’m stepping into my thirties with a new fire and passion for life.

Final Stop on the Honeymoon Tour 🏆

Alex and I decided we wanted to travel for the World Cup for our honeymoon (even though we got married in ‘24). This has been an ultimate dream come true and we’re feeling extremely blessed that this was possible. We got picked in the first round lottery and blindly chose our games. The luck of the draw was really God aligning our dreams…I got to see Brazil in person, we saw the best teams in the world play, and we got to end it with Alex’s family coming to Atlanta to see Argentina and Messi play (Alex’s dad is from Buenos Aires). We got to travel to New York/New Jersey, Miami, and Dallas and spend time with old friends and made new ones. We got to witness the love of the game with the world and see families and friends travel and experience this alongside us and that’s something we may never get to be a part of again. I even tried to take pictures of all the people I could so they could go home with the memories we get to cherish. This will be a special part of our story.

So thank you to everyone who made this dream come true! Now we root for Argentina for Alex and his family 🇦🇷 by @inamichelle
