15 days without real food ie no fibre and 24 hrs fasting does things to a person. I don’t do toasted sarnies as a rule Because well, I am odd! But every time i make this for the wife i yearn. Anyone who has done a long ride on ultra sweet food’ will know what a savoury hit is like. @riverford vintage cheddar spring onion and home made pickles inside, and double sliced @fingalsbakery sourdough melted to perfection, by @inatuube

Today started in an unhappy way and I needed a lift. I very rarely allow myself the luxury of riding my full on race bike, a thing of beauty, precision and focus. This mainly because I feel I don’t deserve the privilege. For me my fitness doesn’t warrant it but when I do allow, as today the feeling is one of elation , of oneness, speed. My special bike, goes back in the box tonight, until the next time I need to feel really alive. Cippollini sums it up. @condorcycles @madeleines_creperie provided the final touch by @inatuube

A White veil drapes the Tor; Beltane is here! Who will dance as old lore dictates, now spring and summer greet each other, an annual union without fail, our veil, now blown onto the East , reveals the source of welcome heat and golden light that trickles through canopies of leaf and bud flush green with youth, onto a carpet made of deepest blue of silent bells and sparkling dew. The swallow skims a mirror pool, cuckoo calls and skylark falls all to lead us on to summers song. Of birth and joy and dance prolonged. by @inatuube
