Happy New Year - Sydney 2024/2025.
Grateful for 2024
- I started doing stand up and performed at the Comedy Store twice. Am totally blown away by the sweet support of family and friends coming to see shows.
- I started getting serious about dating and thru that process learned more about myself and definitely had some adventures - that will end up in the stand up set. I fell in love with myself and maybe someone else.
- I directed a short film w the most amazingly talented team of kind gracious humans. And I think it’s pretty solid.
- I watched the state of Texas apologize for stealing 37 years of my friend Ben Spencer’s life.
- My son got into his first choice college early
- I spent time in Maui/ London/ Vienna and for the first time ever Sydney.
- I was honored with an award from Tyrone Day - an exoneree who has used his platform to change others lives
- I worked with my dear friend Richard on a couple creative projects still in the works.
- I volunteered on the finance committee of Miles of Freedom - an org that helps people returning home from prison.
- I truly developed a yoga practice - Worked on producing a first feature female directors comedy w substance that I believe in
- Producing a doc w a talented director about a subject I feel passionate about
- Fell in love and broke my own heart. Heading into 2025 blissfully heartbroken. Grateful to have loved even if I lost. Excited for the chapters yet to be written and the adventures ahead. ✨💕🎉 by @independence_hall

Still processing and I will probably never have the language to fully articulate the meaning of today. “The moral arc of the universe is long but it bends towards justice.” - Dr. King. Today the state of Texas officially exonerated Ben Spencer based on actual innocence and apologized to him and his family for wrongfully stealing 37 years of his life. Going to pause a beat to celebrate this insanely surreal moment for my friend and then keep on making #goodtrouble because there are so many others. by @independence_hall
