This was a such a great find, not at the usual locale of the cafe district in Ipoh town. Requires a little effort to spot its entrance. Once inside it is a contemporary café fully focused on serving great coffee & other drinks as well. Drinks were great and the vibe was just nice for a chilled Friday evening. #ipohcafehop #kaffadiaries by @indhergram

One of the standout bags of coffee I’ve had so far this year! This Ethiopian Tabe Burka heirloom truly hit all the right notes – perfectly articulated flavors that were just ideal for those chill evenings and a comforting embrace on wet, rainy mornings.

Its versatility was impressive, tasting great whether brewed with the Switch or the Clever. You seriously can’t go wrong with an Ethiopian, but this one was a delightful departure from the usual. A true revelation from the Guji zone, just east of Yirgacheffe. Highly recommend seeking this one out!

Back at a familiar haunt, coffee is still good, thankfully. Interior is still familiar despite the reno and has a welcoming aesthetic to it. Swing by if you’re at Ara Damansara or make a trip down here. Try the cold brew tiramisu while you’re at it.

A quiet evening at closing time on Jonker's. The new within the old; just imagining how the atmosphere was eons ago: probably a old coffeeshop or kopitiam in these old buildings. How they have stood the test of time and more importantly people.

So much has changed here. Chanced upon this idyllic café which serves good coffee and some hot meals and cakes. Good time to get work done and some peace.

After lunch coffee at doudou bake. The cold brew is the perfect drink on a super hot day. Give it a try and buy some artisanal sourdough bread from them all made in house.

It's time for coffee before the daily zwifting session. Excuse the poor latte art, it ain't easy experimenting with alternative milks.

Have a splendid caffeinated week ahead!

Progress in construction. The soon to be 2nd tallest tower in the world behind the Burj Khalifa on its way to completion in 2022. Viewed from the iconic and revamped Chinatown of Petaling Street in down town Kuala Lumpur. When it is finished it will be the tallest building in Malaysia, the new icon of the city centre!

Getting better results using the @eb.lab competition filter on my Moka pot paired up with the Merdeka beans which has been a tricky blend but when you do dial it in properly, it's a winner. Make it a good white with the Nanofoamer available from @buna.market, definitely not easy but doable!

Oat based vanilla bean affogato was definitely delish with espresso beans from @brewnbread (Driver blend). If only some Kahlua was lying around it would have been epic. The perfect way to end a rainy and cold weather day.

Recipe:

Ratio 2:1

2 scoops of any vanilla ice cream 🍨 or gelato
1 shot of espresso (medium or dark roast beans)
Or
3 tablespoons of instant coffee ☕️
(fresh coffee is always the best!)
Optional:
Coffee liquor of your choice (ameretto or kahlua)
Some garnish of dark choc on top or whipping cream.
