I still feel you
in the quiet places God sits.

Not in the noise,
not in the rush of the world—
but in stillness…
in the soft moments
where memories begin to breathe again.

We grew up side by side,
two souls learning life together,
laughing without knowing
how precious those seconds really were.

Thirteen years—
not just time…
but roots.
You were apart of me

They say God calls His angels home,
but I didn’t know
He would call mine so soon.

I’ve asked Him why…
in tears, in silence, in prayers
that didn’t feel like enough.
And even when I didn’t understand,
I had to trust
that He saw something I couldn’t.

So now,
I don’t look for you in places—
I look for you in signs.

In the warmth of the sun
that feels a little too gentle,
in the wind that passes
like a whisper I almost recognize,
in the memories
that come back not to hurt me,
but to remind me
you were real…
and you were love.

God didn’t take you away—
He placed you somewhere higher,
somewhere my heart
can’t reach yet
but somehow still feels.

And I carry you with me…
not as loss,
but as light.

Because a bond like ours
doesn’t end—
it transforms.

So until I see you again,
I’ll keep living
with the pieces of you
God left inside of me.

To my family,
I know this hurts deeply, and it doesn’t feel fair. But even in this pain, we were blessed to have shared so many years, memories, and love together.

God called him home, and even though we don’t understand why, we can trust that he is at peace and still with us in spirit.

Let’s hold each other close, stay strong, and continue to honor Peabody through love, unity, and the memories we carry.
