So sorry for the last post — it’s definitely getting to that busy time of year! But we’re hoping this can spark some interest in getting involved in student governance.

Come join the best exec team! It’s honestly so much fun and incredibly rewarding to give back to community.

Please check the link in our bio for the nomination package, or stop by the lounge to pick up a physical copy!
You can email your completed package to : elizah@ualberta.ca, pass it along to any current exec member in the lounge, or slip it under the office door :)

Your UASU, in collaboration with the Indigenous Students' Union and Native Studies Students' Association, invites you to join us on Tuesday, September 29th at 12:30pm in the Main Quad for our Residential School Memorial. This event presents the opportunity to reflect on how we show up as we walk the path of reconciliation, and uplift and engage with the Indigenous student groups and cultures that enrich our campus community.

The program will include Elders, storytellers, jingle dancers and drummers to honour the past and find healing for the future. There will be a smudging station at the memorial, and stew, bannock, fruits, and refreshments will be provided. No RSVP required; everyone is welcome. Wear your orange shirt if you have one! by @indigenous.su

A massive thank you to everyone who came out to our Welcome BBQ 🫶🏼!! We had an incredible time connecting and celebrating the first few weeks of school together. Elder Fernie began our event with prayer for our community.

Big thank you to the @nssa.uofa and Miyomahcihowin for supporting this event ❤️

Our guest performers Kenton Alook and David Lachance Donald gave incredible and interactive performances through Métis jigging.

We hope to do this again for you all soon 🤍🪶 Stay tuned for more events and opportunities! by @indigenous.su
