To my best friend, my favorite person to ride along with, even when I didn’t want to, and you made me anyway. To the times we laughed until we couldn’t breathe. To the funniest, most fearless, most jovial person I’ve ever known. The greatest example I’ve seen of living presently. The truest example of duality. King of “it isss what it isss.” To my best friend, who brought me along on all your first dates. Those poor women. To my beef and butter bestie. To my fellow cult leader. To the best friend that lost me so many friendships because I chose you instead. Worth it. To the man I shared a wall with, so thin I could hear you listening to chris brumstead videos off your phone speaker. Wow was that annoying. What I wouldn’t give to have you once again burst through the door that connected our bedrooms way too early in the morning for me. To our dog Cletus and our cat Bill. Thank you for letting me turn our trap house into a trap home. To my best friend, Thank you. by @indigo.lark

To my brother, to the man who protected me and gave me a home. To the brother who showed me tough love when I needed it most, and tenderness when I didn’t deserve it. To the brother who broke down all the doors. To the strongest, bravest, craziest man I’ve ever known. To the brother who made me fight with you. To the brother who taught me to fight for myself. To the brother who inspired me to stand up for truth– for what matters. To thanksgiving with each-other’s cousins and birthday dinners with my grandmother. To the brother that won’t get to see me get married or become a mother. To the brother that I was going to raise my kids next to. To your green eyes like mine and high Cheeks (before the dimple) and to our matching freckles on our bottom lips. To your brown hair that curls like mine. I swear you were my brother. Thank you for teaching me, feeding me, housing me and changing my tires. To my brother, Thank you. by @indigo.lark

To Joshua, to living boldly. To the smoky mountains at one in the morning on a full moon. To getting lost in cannibal country and knowing I was safe because I was with you (and your AR). To the deluxe inn and to how you “really wouldn’t want to see the normal inn.” To crab leg feasts at your parents house. To cliff jumping. To that backflip I was so lucky to witness. To mud wrestling. To the way shittier party you threw where 16yr olds showed up to our house. To moving into the bass pro shop pyramid that one time. To making me drive you to stalk your ex. To your blood that still remains in the Mazda to this day. To Dancing Yrself Clean. To sharing Ariadna with me. To oblivion. To the times I can’t legally talk about! To Joshua, who always got to do everything first. To Joshua, no words can truly encapsulate your strength, honor and wisdom you shared with the world. To Joshua, who your mom named you “not Josh”, thank you. I’m forever indebted to you, (literally. We co-signed that student loan together) To Joshua, I love you. I know you are with God. And I know you are happy and at peace, and you did exactly what you wanted to do in life. Always. Joshua how I hate writing these words, but as you told me, “without hate, how can you protect that in which you love?” To Joshua, thank you. by @indigo.lark
