For over four years, I have had the privilege of working with the Mumbai Football Association @officialmfa83 and one thing has remained constant—Neville D’Souza Football Ground is the heartbeat of Mumbai football. From AIFF Youth League matches to Senior tournaments, from children taking their first kick to senior players chasing their dreams, this ground has given thousands an opportunity to play, compete, and grow. It is more than just a football field, it is a sporting legacy, a community, and a source of livelihood for countless coaches, referees, staff, and football families. Today, that legacy is under threat. Replacing one of Mumbai’s most historic football grounds with a convention centre is not development, it is the loss of a priceless sporting asset. If we truly want Indian football to progress, we must invest in more quality playing infrastructure, not reduce what little we already have. Our players deserve better. Our children deserve a place to dream. The city deserves to preserve its football heritage. This is not just about one ground. This is about protecting the future of Mumbai football. Save Neville D’Souza Football Ground. Save the Home of Mumbai Football. @my_bmc #SaveNevilleDSouzaFootballGround #SaveMumbaiFootball #FootballForFuture #GrassrootsFootball by @indra_roy9
