Dear everyone,

I’m pleased to present the second teaser for my new EP, “Ó Ndábo’á Bedingè — In the Tower of Wonders,” featuring short excerpts from the tracks, excluding the interludes.

Authenticity has always been at the heart of the way I approach my recordings. That’s why I choose to keep the arrangements stripped down, leaving plenty of space for the music to breathe.

On this EP, I play the guitars, bass and vocals, with Mario Orsinet on drums, featuring Yann Jankielewicz on Baryton saxophone and Noam Dibongè on trumpet.

For the live presentation, we’ll bring the music to the stage as a trio — guitar, bass and drums.

With « Ó Ndábo’a Bedingè », Indy DIBONGÈ returns to the harmonic foundations of « Afrobeat » through the language of Highlife. Rather than treating tradition as a destination, he approaches it as a living source of new musical possibilities.
After the release of « Mùká Má Bambámbè » (Prayer of the Ancestors), a single that marked a personal reconciliation and the beginning of a deeper artistic journey. Here, Indy DIBONGÈ expands that journey into a four-part work where memory, spirituality, and musical inheritance are woven into a contemporary Afrobeat framework.
For Indy DIBONGÈ, the “Wonders” of « Ó Ndábo’a Bedingè »are not spectacles or miracles. They are the enduring treasures carried through generations: ancestral presence, transmitte knowledge, and the invisible forces that continue to shape human life. The EP becomes a symbolic tower where these wonders are gathered, contemplated, and transformed into sound.
Rooted in « Afrobeat and Highlife » yet unconstrained by genre, the music unfolds through original harmonic structures, layered rhythms, and an intimate dialogue between voice, guitar, bass, brass, and drums. Each piece opens a different doorway into the EP’s spiritual and musical landscape.

Universalism

There is no such thing as a universal civilization, because there is no such thing as a universal human experience. There are human experiences: multiple, unique, rooted in different histories, territories, and ways of relating to the world And this allows us to make an essential distinction:

the universality of being human is not the standardization of the human experience.

In other words, we can all be human without having to become culturally identical.

Universalisme
Il n’existe pas une civilisation universelle, car il n’existe pas une expérience humaine universelle. Il existe des expériences humaines : multiples, singulières, enracinées dans des histoires, des territoires et des rapports au monde différents.
Et cela permet de faire une distinction essentielle :

l’universalité de l’être humain n’est pas la standardisation de son expérience.

THE DREAM OF MY ANCESTORS

I am the white sheep of my family.
The one who sought the path to liberate the family tree.

The one who thinks…

Tradition must evolve,
while keeping the fundamental roots of our heritage strong.

With me, our story will no longer be repeated.

The patterns that once passed from one generation to another
will stop here,
so that the lives of those who come after me
do not have to carry the same frustrations.

I repair.
I repair myself.

I detoxify.
I detoxify myself.

And in doing so,
I make space for a new, colorful branch to grow.

I am the disturbing ancestor.
The one who came to set the record straight.

The one who dares to be free.
The one who releases the dreams,
the gifts,
the unrealized talents
of those who came before me.

But the inert family tree
continues to resist the call.

And so my journey becomes conflictual.
Heavy.
Exhausting.

Still, I do not doubt.

I nurture my “rarity.”
I protect the difference that makes me who I am.

For perhaps,
I am not the broken branch.

Perhaps I am
the most precious flower on the tree.

I AM THE DREAM OF MY ANCESTORS.

And sometimes I wonder…

Did I fail them
some years ago?

Or was I simply
becoming the person
they never had the freedom to become? Now I am from all the colonials names, honoring my mother…
