Y de Yesterday was the close of one chapter and the start of another. My military service has single handily been the best and worst career I will ever have. From the 24hr shifts and being called in the next day, to working Panama 12hr shifts and going to the range right after. Not getting promoted for 3 months because of clerical and system issues, to being given DS order after a year at my pick of duty station. However it also have gave me my best friend and godson while in Germany. I had great mentors and visited other countries while at Huachuca. And I came back home and had some great soldiers, mentors, and peers while at Roberts. The ARMY kept me away from my family but gave me the best second family I could ask for. At 8 years I’m happy to say that I finished both my contracts with mostly good memories. I’m grateful for all the mentors I had that saw more in me than I saw in myself, and always pushed me to do more. Can’t say I’ll do it again but I wouldn’t change what I have done.

I made mistakes, I learned, I grew. I hope to not make the same mistakes again but some things need to be taught more than once. Entering 25 with a lot of memories in a lot of places. For my last year in, to travel a lot, to meet new people and rekindle with old ones, wishing the best to 26. by @ines.alvi67
