Sunkheaven (US)

Sunk Heaven was founded in 2012 by experimental musician Austin Sley Julian. Based in performance, no input mixers, and synthesizers, sunk heaven has used the stretches of sonic extremity to produce elegant yet self destructing soundscapes. through these sonic environments emerge rhythm and poetry where song lives. Sunk heaven further expands this inventive instrumentation into the experimental electronic conversation. Sunk Heaven tours nationally and internationally, releasing 10 albums in the past 10 years.

Eir (SE)

Infant Finches (DE/DK)

“The references to Animal Collective are obvious, maybe Tortoise, Battles, so something like Math, free jazz attitude meets the Beatles, if they hadn't briefly dabbled with acid, but visited Alexander Shulgin in his lab and then fell into a Gaul pot full of 2CB."

The dk/de art-rock duo balances between straight forms and cryptic motives embracing shimmering guitar patterns, and combining odd-rhythms with shoegaze and a loooot of sampling. Jan Philipp and Frederik Bruun formed Infant Finches in Köln merging their inspirations from the city’s Kraut-rock legacy with the fluid vibrations from the US art-rock scene. Their sound is driven by aesthetics from bands such as This Heat, Deerhoof, Women and Stereolab bringing together mathy, polyrhythmic loops and wobbly sounds into a song-like form. taken in Villa Kultur by @infantfinches
