Let's me tell you something .... consent is sexy. Back in 2010, I created and hosted spaces for women to have conversations on sex and sexuality. These conversations were a reminder to women that they have autonomy & ownership of their bidy & pleasure. It was then and still now a subject that I am passionate about.

What I noticed then was that we always had consent conversations in our daily lives. We are always navigating consent as we interact with one another. Whether we are aware of it or not. Our awareness of that is key to everything. Before I take a picture of a sentient being, I ask their consent. If I don't have it, then i don't take the picture. Because consent is not automatic, and yes, it can be sexy in everything we do.

Let me tell you something... if you haven't woken up about all the bullshit taking place, now is the time. The 25th anniversary of 9/11 was a great place to start, but I stayed silent. I used to talk a lot. At least, that's what I was told being called chatter box for most of my formative years. Now, I speak on this app that is actively sensoring speech.

Our ancestors didn't work so hard for us to have to be working so hard. Although our physical labour is still being extracted, our emotional and mental labour is actively being extracted as well. Yet, here we are fodder for the billionaire pedophiles to play with. It is exhausting by design. This is harvest season. Have no doubt the energy of our grief, anger, rage, and dispear is necessary to keep the war games going.

Consent is truly the conversation that we are in at this moment. I, for one, don't give consent for my image or likeness, emotions, or trade to be extracted. Period full stop. #harvest

Let me tell you something... Each line of the 23 psalm is worthy of study and understanding. This is my brief synopsis. Everything is ENERGY. Energy exists in a myriad of forms. The law or Lord of this universe is energetic. Our attention flows where our energy goes. ✨️ Just like the sheep, tend to follow the shepherd. All the needs of the sheep are met.

The greeness of the pastures references this abundant universe that we inhabit. All water holds memory. Water is transformative as in able to shit states form liquid to solid to gas.. In the form of tears, it can be restorative. Walking through a valley experiencing lows, fears uncertainty are all a part of living. Our protection is in the knowledge that nothing comes to stay... including ourselves.

Enjoy learning your energetic frequency. Our enemies are the parts of ourselves requiring explore. Anointing of one's head or spiritual center. The source of connect with the divine mind, the energy center a sacred dwelling. The space of consciousness to the higher realms of our multidimentional selves.

Let me tell you what ancestor Jame Baldwin said, "People are trapped in history, and history is trapped in them."
My history is trapped in my body, and dancing is a way for me to experience feelings and release them. Dancing isn't new to me it true to me. Dancing has me engaged at the level of mind, body, and spirit. Shaking my ass is empirical and historical, medicine we/me holds. Shaking my ass is my right, as well as a rite passed down through my lineage.

As a Caribbean person, our right to bodily automy was not always guaranteed. My ancestors battled for the removal of physical chains that held their bodies in physical spaces without their consent.

Our work is to recognize and remember that decolonization is an activation. Access to the whole spirit lives in our bodies and mind. Aligned practices help to refame our history. Our bodies hold the know of ourselves our mind could not.

Let me tell you something .... I am in my Caribbean dad circa 1955 - 1965 era. I love it here. There is so much space for reckless abandonment that life affords me.

I just get to be free. I just stay being me in my gender non conformity, and I love it. There is something magical to me about letting hair grow where my body wants hair. While I grieve the places that hair has never had or is leaving.

The culture that I was born into holds space for older people to be elders or not. I love that, too. While I grieve those that are no longer here, sitting in the stands, watching the bands, and making noise.

Carnival is culture. The culture of blackness. The culture of rage, restless rebellion, resistance, and more. We laugh, we drink, we smoke, but most of all, we dance... We remember....

Let me tell you something... when it comes ships... we/me don't really spend a lot of time talking about it.

Friendship is one of the best reasons to be in a relationship. I have shared more things with this person than my sisters...yeah all the things.

We have been friends since high school, and our mothers knew each other before our birth.

I am grateful for our times and those we will continue to share. Happy Birthday 🎂 Jem.

Like, not everyone was Kong Fu fighting.

Laughter and tears show up in celebration and solace.

Grief is easier to hold when you are with others

Black femme are constantly navigating decolonizing

Water supports all of us and is necessary to human rights.

If loving you is wrong... I don't want to be right.

Rules were made to be broken... because people were breaking them.

Sunshine 🌞 fruit trees and breeze make everything Irie

If they are not ready or willing to pay ... the have no say.

Go for forgiveness, not permission...

My mother will always know who I am...

Language is not the measure of communication or understanding.

This is not the time to behave yourself.

This is not a season for being the same as usual.

The ones who wrote the rules omitted the facts that all the rules were made up.

The binary is a lie. You can be more than this or that.

You are a whole human being purposeful being.

Being fully present, being fully loving, being expressed in living, without harm to others.

Let go of the lie and live.

Let me tell you something.... I don't know if we talk about the brilliant mind of those that fall under the astrological sign of Sagittarius enough. I was not waiting to hear about 'Love Island', and thankfully, I heard about other things instead. Like, "Any resistance to fatness is a resistance to my blackness."

When Black femmes share their idea in a space that were I will always choose to be. There is no idle chit chat with Sag, although it may seem so. They are always providing the gems of wisdom. "It could be quite easy to look at systems and not how you/we/me have inherited them"... This is a reminder that decolonizing is our work to do.

When asked her thoughts about the Canadian commercial success story that is Heated Rivalary, "I want my fantasies to be decolonized"... ❤️💚💛

Let me tell you something...

I love watching World Cup football. This yearI have been getting a real plantation type of vibe. As I watched theses DIVERSE teams played with their coaches from the colonies. That's part of the reason I stopped watching other male dominated sports...

I reflect a lot on things. Like the sizes of the continents. Who creates maps and history books. Why, even now, when we know we have been told so many lies, only a few of us are beginning to live independently, choosing to think and act outside the status.

The more consciously aware we are that the old systems are dying. The more active we can be at creating the next thing.

Let me tell you something ...

These past few days, I have heard a lot of astrologers talk about this new moon in Gemini and the importance of speaking up & out as it pertains to manifestion. Reminding folks that with a new moon, you can call things in verses a fullmoon when you let things go.

Calling in community is the stage we are at. No more following the influencer, the crowd, and the politician. Just remember all that you require can be found in and with and for community.

Being in a community is not easy. It takes patience, understanding, empathy, accountability, responsibility, and more. It is behavioural knowledge that we have been deliberately trained not to trust or practice. This is the time to work on shifting from speaking for self to speaking for your neighbour as yourself.

Stay tuned in to the folks who are ready to build community. Speak that into existence... the moon is listening. Because love and liberation is for us all.
