🔧 C10 Firewall: Part 2! Sometimes making something look like it belongs there means cutting off the stuff the factory put there in the first place. We’re back with Corey as he walks us through the next stage of cleaning up this C10 firewall. This time, we’re eliminating the factory flare along the top of the firewall to create a smoother transition between the original sheet metal and the new Auto Metal Direct cowl. Corey’s already fabricated and fitted a custom cap into place, giving everything a cleaner, more intentional look instead of an awkward transition between old and new. Got a classic that’s got more rust than actual sheet metal?? 😂 From rust repair and sheet metal replacement to custom metal fabrication and full classic vehicle restoration, we’ve got the tools and talent to get it done right. 📍 Infinite Fab Works | Hendersonville, TN 📞 615-289-2817 Give us a call and let’s get that classic back on the road less holey than the pope 😂 #InfiniteFabWorks #C10Trucks #C10Restoration #AutoMetalDirect #SheetMetalFabrication RustRepair CustomMetalFab ClassicTruckRestoration ChevyC10 by @infinitefabworks

Sometimes cleaning things up leaves you with a whole lot of… nothing. 😂 Corey is walking us through the process of filling factory holes, smoothing out the firewall, and the first steps in cleaning up the engine bay on this C10 restoration. When you start deleting factory components and unnecessary mounting points, you can end up with some pretty large, flat sections of sheet metal. Sure, you could leave them smooth, but where’s the fun in that? That’s where a little pizzazz comes in. 🤌 Instead of settling for a giant blank chunks, we’re adding a touch of custom bead-rolled details to break up those flat surfaces, add some character, and give this firewall a more intentional, finished look. And as a bonus, those bead-rolled patterns can help stiffen the sheet metal. Stay tuned for Part 2! Corey gets into finishing the edge along the cowl and explains how we’re joining the new Auto Metal Direct cowl panel to the original firewall for a clean, seamless transition. 🔧 Rust repair, sheet metal fabrication, and custom metalwork are what we do! Whether you’re replacing rusted-out panels, restoring a classic, or looking for custom fabrication that goes beyond factory, Infinite Fab Works has the skills to bring your project to life. 📍 Infinite Fab Works | Hendersonville, TN 📞 (615) 289-2817 Give us a call before that rust gets any worse! #InfiniteFabWorks #C10Restoration #C10Trucks #SheetMetalFabrication #BeadRolling RustRepair CustomFabrication AutoMetalDirect ClassicTruckRestoration by @infinitefabworks
Mike said, “Hey, come film this! It’s really interesting!” And I’m just standing there wondering if “interesting” is actually in the room with us. 😂 Apparently, we have VERY different definitions of entertainment. But if you’ve got that particular flavor of ’tism that thinks rebuilding an old carburetor is more exciting than watching paint dry, this one’s for you. 🤣 And if watching someone tear down, rebuild, and tune a carburetor sounds about as exciting as doing your taxes, well, it’s probably a damn good thing WE find it interesting. Because the guys who actually know their way around old-school carburetors, understand how they work, and can get them properly tuned are becoming a dying breed… thankfully Mike has a lot of years left ahead of him 🤣 At Infinite Fab Works, we still appreciate the old-school stuff. Whether your carb needs a rebuild, your engine needs some tuning, or you’re tired of fiddling with jets and mixture screws every time the weather changes, we’ve got options. Want to keep it old school? We’ll help get that carbureted setup running right. Ready to join the 21st century? We can also talk about upgrading to a modern Haltech EFI system with a Rebel ECU, giving you electronic fuel control, laptop-based tuning, and a whole lot more flexibility. Because what you find boring, we find fascinating. And that’s exactly who you want working on your build! 📞 Infinite Fab Works | (615) 289-2817 Give us a call and let’s get your project dialed in. Whether you’re keeping it old school or going full modern, we’ve got the right flavor of ‘tism the job! #carburetors #tism #mechaniclife #infinitefabworks by @infinitefabworks
This C10 cab restoration is coming together one panel at a time, and we’re making some serious progress with quality replacement sheet metal from Auto Metal Direct (AMD @autometaldirect ) But not everything comes straight out of a catalog! With future modifications already in mind, we’ve fabricated our own custom firewall panels to accommodate components that will be installed later in the build. And because we’re not about to put some basic flat sheet metal in there and call it a day, we decided to church things up a little with some bead rolled details. Not only does it add some character, but those bead-rolled patterns also help stiffen the panels. A little extra craftsmanship goes a long way! That’s what restoration is all about at Infinite Fab Works. It’s not just replacing what’s worn out. It’s thinking ahead, planning for what’s next, and putting attention into those little details that matter. Got a classic truck that needs some serious attention? From rust repair and custom sheet metal fabrication to complete restorations and one-off builds, Infinite Fab Works has the skills to bring your vision to life. If you know your way around a turbo diesel, you already know there’s some serious work happening under this hood… well under where a hood will be 😂😂 Jeff’s been laying some CLEAN TIG welds on the custom stainless charge piping, piecing together bends, dialing in tight clearances, and making sure everything fits like it belongs there, which includes creative solutions for what didn’t fit. We’re talking custom turbo plumbing, heat-wrapped Finks turbine housing, and an intercooler setup that required some serious rethinking. With the grille angle throwing a wrench in the original plan, Jeff fabricated new mounts to relocate the intercooler between the frame rails. Problem solved. Now it’s all about getting that boosted air where it needs to go! No cobbled-together plumbing. Just some damn good fabrication from Jeff! And for all you diesel guys who didn’t know, YES, WE WORK ON DIESELS TOO! 💪 From custom turbo piping and intercooler modifications to one-off brackets, welding, and full custom metal fabrication, Infinite Fab Works has the equipment and know-how to tackle the jobs that don’t come with instructions. Got a diesel project that needs more than bolt-on parts? Give us a call at (615) 590-7922, stop by 22 Industrial Park Dr, Unit 22B, Hendersonville, TN 37075, or check us out at infinitefabworks.com to talk about your next build! #InfiniteFabWorks #DieselPerformance #CustomFabrication #TurboDiesel TIGWelding DieselBuild #Stainlesspipes by @infinitefabworks
Mechanics have zero survival skills when it comes to windowless vans and tools but will still lecture their wives about situational awareness 😂 #halloween #situationalawareness #toolvan #freecandy by @infinitefabworks
Where some see problems, we see solutions. 💪 Custom fabrication means thinking outside the box, adapting on the fly and having the skills to get it done right. Case in point, this big ol’ diesel. The angle of the grille made the traditional intercooler location less than ideal. No problem for Jeff. A little ingenuity, some custom-fabbed mounts and a few welds later, we’ve got a solid mounting solution that positions the intercooler between the frame rails. That’s what experience and craftsmanship bring to the table. The ability to tackle challenges, find solutions and keep a build moving without compromising quality. From custom metal fabrication to complete builds, Infinite Fab Works has the talent and experience to make it happen. Got a project that needs more than an off-the-shelf solution? RACING IS ABOUT MORE THAN TROPHIES AND LAPTIMES. IT’S ABOUT WHO’S IN YOUR CORNER WHEN IT COUNTS. 🏁 At last weekends C10 Nationals, Kyle, David and even Paps (who probably put more miles on that scooter than anyone did on the track 😂), and the Infinite Fab Works crew were out there helping Seth with his 1989 Chevy OBS when things got a little questionable with his truck. From the shop to the pits and beyond, we’re invested in our customers and their success. Seth put our suspension to work and took home the 2026 C10 Nationals Autocross Championship, capping off his first year competing at the event! Even better, his son Gibson rode shotgun for his final three timed laps, including his fastest run of the weekend. Now THAT’S what it’s all about! 🤘 These guys might be competitors chasing faster times, but when someone needs a hand, they’re turning wrenches, sharing knowledge, and backing each other up. The competition stays on the track because respect runs deeper than just racing. That’s how we operate, too. We work alongside our customers, listen to their needs, and use their feedback to develop smarter products and build faster vehicles that push performance and innovation further. 🔥 RACE SEASON IS WINDING DOWN. NOW’S THE TIME TO GET YOUR DEPOSIT IN AND PUT YOUR BUILD ON THE SCHEDULE BEFORE NEXT SEASON! Congratulations, Seth! Hell of a way to finish last weekend! INFINITE FAB WORKS 🔧 TRUE Honesty. Integrity.
