After 3 kids and a surrogacy, I can honestly say I’ve experienced motherhood in so many different ways. 🤍

This video is old, but I think the message will always stand the test of time.

Motherhood has a way of making you question everything. Am I doing enough? Am I doing this right? Why does it seem easier for everyone else?

And when you’re going through postpartum depression, those thoughts can feel even louder.

But while you’re questioning yourself, your baby isn’t.

Your baby doesn’t see the moments you feel like you’re falling short. They see the person who feeds them, holds them, comforts them, protects them and shows up again and again, even on the days when showing up takes everything you have.

You may feel like you have no idea what you’re doing, but to your baby, you are home. You are safety. You are their person. 🥹🤍

So to the mama going through PPD and wondering if she’s doing any of this right:

You are. 🤍

I’ve noticed he just starts to play songs by memory so I asked him to show me one . He picked this one , skimmed through the page quickly then flipped it over. He was aware of a few mistakes but I told him it’s ok cause he’s learning and as long as he recognizes his errors and corrects next time he will be the best .

You don’t have to agree with every decision the intended parents may make but you DO have to be honest with yourself about what you’re willing to accept before signing a contract and carrying someone else’s child.

I can have empathy for how heartbreaking this situation was while still believing that agreeing to one thing and doing another crosses a line.

And attempting to gain custody afterward? That’s where she completely lost me.

I’m curious what everyone else thinks 👀 Was she protecting the baby, or did she cross a line as a surrogate?

Sometimes after having 3 kids, I wonder if I give each of them enough of me. 🥺

Then I find videos like this…

My oldest had JUST turned 4 and already knew his times tables. 🥹🧠

It reminds me that I really poured so much into him , teaching him, challenging him, sitting with him, making learning fun.

Motherhood gets busier with every child, and sometimes I forget to give myself credit.

But looking back, I realize… I really did that. ❤️
I was raising a smart little boy and doing the best I could with everything I had.

4 weeks postpartum and somehow I ended up back on the volleyball court. 🏐🥹💙

Getting the chance to play alongside fellow alumni AND the current students was such a full-circle moment. Volleyball was such a big part of my high school years, so being back in the gym, competing, laughing, and realizing I still got a little something left 😂 felt SO good.

Even more special was being able to give back and donate to the current SPHS volleyball program. 🫶🏽 I hope these girls continue making memories, building friendships, and loving this game as much as we did.

My body may be 4 weeks postpartum 😅 but my competitive spirit clearly never left. I had WAY too much fun and I’m already ready to play again! 😂🏐 thank you again @afaithbasedjourney @fromyouth2recvolleyball for putting this all together !

Part 2: Birth Story

Home to hospital was possibly the most uncomfortable 20 minute drive. But I made it in one piece and the staff definitely made sure things went by quick. We got to hospital by about 6am and was checked and moved to labor room by 6:30am… by @infinitynbryond

This Mother’s Day hits a little differently for me this year. 🤍

Being pregnant while also raising my own babies has reminded me not to take a single moment of motherhood for granted. My kids are my whole world, and at the same time, carrying for another family has opened my heart in a way I never expected.

Knowing there are families who would give anything to experience the moments I get with my children every single day has made this journey so emotional and rewarding. Being able to help give that gift to someone else is something I’ll carry with me forever.

So today I’m extra grateful, for my babies, for this journey with @ibabysurrogacyagency , and for the chance to help another family experience this kind of love. 💐✨
