Summer’s ending, and looking back, this one feels like it held about five different chapters at once.

I turned 34, launched Infitnite after years of building it, made it back to PAX, celebrated new experiences with my wife, spent time with friends and family, and kept figuring out what life looks like as a husband, founder, and solo indie game developer all at the same time.

There’s been a lot of work behind the scenes this summer. A lot of long days, uncertainty, small wins, big milestones, and moments where I actually had to stop working long enough to realize how much life was happening around me too.

I’m proud of what I built, but I’m just as grateful for the people, memories, random adventures, family time, birthdays, conventions, dinners, and quiet days at home that came with it.

34 feels like a new chapter. Infitnite is finally out in the world, and I’m excited to see what comes next.

260+ days made Infitnite capable.

Alpha + Beta showed me that capability had outrun speed, clarity, and reliability.

Players uncovered rough flows, inconsistent behavior, and bugs I missed.

The test record lists 78 documented changes.

In 20 days, I shipped 39 fixes and 4 features.

That ratio matters.

I had to choose: add capability or make what existed easier to use and trust.

The interactive fitness part of onboarding included a push-up section. Experienced lifters told me the full process took too long and didn’t respect what they already knew.

So I’m rebuilding that part of onboarding around choice.

Is it delayed? That’s the question I kept getting about the closed alpha. So I recorded the real answer.

Short version: it’s not delayed. I just refused to let your first 15 to 30 minutes feel anything less than incredible. That first impression decides everything.

In the full breakdown I reveal the first race you’ll get to play. The Synth. Calisthenics specialized. Precision, control, agility, balance. Rooted in magic, not machines.

I also share a path I wasn’t expecting this soon, one that opens the door to PC and Mac alongside mobile.

After five years, we finally have a date!

Infitnite 5.0 launches worldwide on August 1, 2026, the next evolution of the world’s first Fitness Fantasy RPG. Your real workouts, nutrition, and learning power your character. It’s free to play, and it’s the version we’ve been chasing since the very beginning.

Here’s how the gates open: active members in mid-June, returning Warriors in July, the whole community in mid-July, then everyone on August 1.

And after launch, there’s a system we’ve wanted to build since day one. One boss. The entire community fighting it together.

A personal note from Walt: 225 days building this, and I got married right in the middle of it, to Olya ♥️, my soulmate and our Operations Sorceress. I even kept going on our honeymoon in Hawaii. That’s how much this matters to me.
