Letztes Jahr durfte ich zusammen mit der Klasse für Künstlerisches Handeln und Forschen @k______h______u______f______ im Buch und Schriftmuseum in Leipzig ausstellen.
Unter dem Ausstellungstitel „CTRL Z/CTRL Y“ habe ich „273 Prozessarbeit“ gezeigt – ein Projekt, das in Zukunft um weitere Teilaspekte wachsen wird.

Über „273 Prozessarbeit“:
Der SMAD-Befehl Nr. 273 bildete die Grundlage für die DDR-Verordnung „zur Verhütung und Bekämpfung von Geschlechtskrankheiten“ von 1961, welche Zwangseinweisungen vermeintlich „geschlechtskranker“ Personen erlaubte. In Einrichtungen wie der Poliklinik Mitte in Halle (Saale) z. B. – im Volksmund „Tripperburg“ genannt – erlitten Frauen und Mädchen ab dem 12. Lebensjahr unter dem Vorwand sozialistischer Umerziehung s**ualisierte Gewalt. Trotz staatlicher Überwachung konnten solche Orte lange verfassungswidrig handeln; eine Aufarbeitung stößt bis heute auf viele Hürden.

Last year, I had the opportunity to exhibit at the Book and Writing Museum in Leipzig together with the Class for Artistic Practice and Research @k______h______u______f______ .
Under the exhibition title “CTRL Z/CTRL Y”, I presented “273 Prozessarbeit”— a project that will continue to expand to include additional aspects in the future.

About “273 Prozessarbeit ”:
SMAD Directive No. 273 formed the basis for the DDR ordinance “on the prevention and control of sexually transmitted diseases” of 1961, which allowed for the compulsory admission of people suspected of having “sexually transmitted diseases.” In institutions such as the Poliklinik Mitte in Halle (Saale), for example—popularly known as “Tripperburg”—women and girls aged 12 and older suffered s**ualized violence under the pretext of socialist re-education. Despite state supervision, such places were able to operate unconstitutionally for a long time; even today, efforts to come to terms with this history face many obstacles. taken in Leipzig, Germany by @inga_kruse

Die Vereinten Nationen haben das Jahr 2026 zum „Internationalen Jahr der Frauen in der Landwirtschaft“ ausgerufen. „Unser Kuchen ist politisch“ ist deshalb wahrscheinlich nur eines der vielen Statements, über die morgen beim Deutschen LandFrauentag in Essen gesprochen wird.
Das Jahresthema rückt unter anderem weiterhin drängende Themen wie die fehlende finanzielle Absicherung, Einsamkeit oder die oft unsichtbare Mehrfachbelastung von Frauen in der Landwirtschaft in den Fokus.
Ich freue mich schon sehr auf die Redebeiträge und natürlich auch auf das Wiedersehen mit dem @rheinischerlandfrauenverband.

The United Nations has designated 2026 as the “International Year of the Woman Farmer.” “Our cake is political” is therefore likely just one of the many statements that will be discussed tomorrow at the German LandFrauen Day in Essen.
Among other things, this year’s theme continues to shine a spotlight on pressing issues such as the lack of financial security, loneliness, and the often-unseen multiple burdens faced by women in agriculture.
I’m really looking forward to the speeches and, of course, to seeing the @rheinischerlandfrauenverband again. taken in Essen by @inga_kruse

What was this? We visited quite an amazing event last week. We needed time to process. We meet role models some we already knew and some we always dreamed to connect with.
We are still moved by the outcome the input and the new connections we made.

„Tag der LandFrau“ auf der Landesgartenschau Neuss 2026.

Ich denke, für ein Dankeschön ist es nie zu spät, oder?
Deshalb möchte ich an dieser Stelle allen LandFrauen, die am „Tag der LandFrau“ die LaGa in Neuss und „JUST A PIECE OF CAKE?“ besucht haben, von Herzen danken. Ich hatte die Gelegenheit, mit Frauen aus den unterschiedlichsten Orts-, Bezirks- und Kreisverbänden über das gemeinsame Kunstwerk ins Gespräch zu kommen und dabei durfte ich viele spannende und persönliche Geschichten hören, die mich nachhaltig berührt haben.
Ein besonderer Dank gilt auch den LandFrauen, die Einblicke in den Entstehungsprozess der Schubladen-Collagen gegeben haben. Diese Begegnungen haben deutlich gemacht, dass das Thema „LandFrauen“ mich weiterhin begleiten wird und tatsächlich arbeite ich bereits an einem Folgeprojekt.

I don’t think it’s ever too late to say thank you, is it?
That’s why I’d like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all the LandFrauen who visited the LaGa in Neuss and “JUST A PIECE OF CAKE?” on “Tag der LandFrau”. I had the chance to talk with women from a wide variety of local, district, and regional associations about the collaborative artwork, and in doing so, I heard many fascinating and personal stories that truly moved me.
Special thanks also go to the LandFrauen who shared insights into the creation process of the drawer collages. These encounters made it clear that the theme of “LandFrauen” will continue to inspire me, and in fact, I’m already working on a follow-up project.

„JUST A PIECE OF CAKE?“, Landesgartenschau Neuss 2026.

Die Installation widmet sich der Geschichte, Gegenwart und Zukunft des 1948 gegründeten Rheinischen LandFrauenverbandes e.V., der die soziale, wirtschaftliche und rechtliche Situation von Frauen im ländlichen Raum sowie den Austausch zwischen Stadt und Land fördert.

Das Klischee des „Kaffeekränzchens“ wird hinterfragt und die Kaffeetafel als zentraler Ort des Austauschs, als Raum für gegenseitige Unterstützung, gesellschaftliche Teilhabe und demokratische Aushandlungsprozesse präsentiert.  Archivmaterialien, von den LandFrauen gestaltete Collagen und Auszüge aus Interviews, verdeutlichen die aktive Mitgestaltung des ländlichen Lebens und die oft unsichtbare Arbeit von Frauen im vorpolitischen Raum, in der Landwirtschaft, in Bildungsarbeit und Pflege. Die Installation vermittelt einen lebendigen Eindruck vom Engagement der Frauen, von der Bedeutung der Verbandsarbeit, aber auch von den Herausforderungen der Zukunft.

The installation explores the history, present, and future of the Rheinischer LandFrauenverband e.V., founded in 1948, which promotes the social, economic, and legal status of women in rural areas as well as dialogue between urban and rural communities.

The cliché of the “Kaffeekränzchen” is challenged, and the coffee table is presented as a central place of exchange, a space for mutual support, social participation, and democratic negotiation processes.  Archival materials, collages created by the LandFrauen, and excerpts from interviews illustrate women’s active participation in shaping rural life and their often invisible work in the pre-political sphere, in agriculture, in educational work, and in caregiving. The installation conveys a vivid impression of the women’s commitment, the significance of the association’s work, and the challenges of the future. taken in Landesgartenschau Neuss 2026 by @inga_kruse

Gestern wurde die Landesgartenschau Neuss 2026 eröffnet. Seit gestern steht dort ebenfalls das partizipative, installative Kunstwerk „JUST A PIECE OF CAKE?“, welches zusammen mit Mitgliedern aller Ebenen des @rheinischerlandfrauenverband entstanden ist. Mein herzlichstes Danke geht an alle beteiligten Personen! Es war ein so schöner Tag! Und es waren zwei sehr spannende sowie lehrreiche Jahre!  Bis Mitte Oktober könnt ihr euch „JUST A PIECE OF CAKE? in Neuss ansehen und vielleicht das ein oder andere Gespräch über und mit Frauen im ländlichen Raum führen…

1 ½ Tage Fotomarathon im Rheinischen Land…und bumms, schon vorbei! Danke an @midwintermoon für die großartige Begleitung! Ohne dich hätte ich mich mindestens 1000× in und um Düsseldorf verfahren

Nach 13 tollen Interviews mit meinen LandFrauen-Pat*innen und einer Menge Projektplanung bin ich nun seit etwa einem Monat ganz praktisch mit „Kunst trifft LandFrau“ beschäftigt. Ich säge, schleife, layoute und kaufe … und nebenbei lasse ich auch ein bisschen sägen, schleifen und drucken.
Manchmal erschrecke ich kurz darüber, wie groß das Projekt inzwischen geworden ist. Gleichzeitig ist es total schön zu wissen, dass man bei allen vermeintlichen Hürden jederzeit im Projekt-Team einchecken kann und sofort gemeinsam nach Lösungen gesucht wird. Eine super spannende und wirklich tolle Erfahrung!

Am Wochenende fahre ich noch ein letztes Mal ins Rheinland, bevor im April der Aufbau auf der Landesgartenschau in Neuss startet.

After 13 great interviews with my LandFrauen mentors and a lot of project planning, I have now been working on “Kunst trifft LandFrau” for about a month. I saw, sand, layout, and buy... and I also let others do a bit of sawing, sanding, and printing on the side.
Sometimes I’m briefly shocked by how big the project has become. At the same time, it’s really nice to know that whenever you encounter any supposed hurdles, you can always check in with the project team and they will immediately start looking for solutions together. It’s a super exciting and really great experience!

This weekend, I’m heading to the Rheinland one last time before the setup for the Landesgartenschau in Neuss begins in April. taken in Leipzig, Germany by @inga_kruse

Es war hier eine Weile still. Der Grund: Ich arbeite seit fast einem Jahr an einem größeren Projekt. Gemeinsam mit dem @rheinischerlandfrauenverband und dem Projekt-Team „Kunst trifft LandFrau“ (Indra Torres, Gaby Kamp und Jutta Kuhles) erarbeite ich ein Kunstwerk für die Landesgartenschau 2026 in Neuss.

Ein erster wichtiger Schritt war die Crowdfunding-Kampagne von April bis Juni, die wir im Team auf den Weg gebracht haben. Durch diese Unterstützung konnte die Projekt-Finanzierung gesichert werden.

Und nach vielen Gesprächen und Online-Treffen mit LandFrauen aus dem Rheinischen Land sowie langen Tagen am Schreibtisch, steht seit heute der finale Entwurf fest. Für mich war dabei von Anfang an wichtig, dass das Kunstwerk nicht über, sondern mit den LandFrauen entsteht.

Jetzt beginnt die nächste Phase: Werkstattarbeit, Archivmaterial sammeln und die Umsetzung der partizipativen Aufgaben in den 13 Kreisverbänden koordinieren.

It’s been quiet here for a while. The reason: I’ve been working on a larger project for almost a year. Together with the @rheinischerlandfrauenverband and the “Kunst trifft LandFrau” project team (Indra Torres, Gaby Kamp, and Jutta Kuhles), I am creating a work of art for the Landesgartenschau 2026 in Neuss.

The first important step was a crowdfunding campaign that we launched as a team. This support secured the financing for the project.

And after many discussions and online meetings with LandFrauen from the Rhineland as well as long days at my desk, the artistic concept was finalized today. From the outset, it was important to me that the work be created not about, but with the LandFrauen.

Now the next phase begins: workshop work, collecting archive material, and coordinating the implementation of participatory tasks in the 13 district associations. taken in Leipzig, Germany by @inga_kruse
