This is my first post in 4 months.

In that time I have seen things I can never unsee. 4 months of man made terrors beyond imagination. 4 months of cognitive dissonance; of seeing images that will haunt me for the rest of my life– that make me want to scream the blood out my lungs. 4 months of living in a country that actively chooses not to bear witness to this world-changing level of death, destruction and dispossession.

They tell us without telling us that we are supposed to go on with our lives. Put our heads down. Keep scrolling. Drown out the bad thoughts. Generate income. Live for yourself. You can’t do anything anyway so why let this drive you insane?

Because insanity is the only sane reaction in a world where genocide goes unanswered.

There is no humanity in silence. There is no humanity in looking away.

So, to those who see; to those of us for whom the veil has fallen; to those of us who will never be the same again: Embrace your insanity! Embrace your anger! Scream into that void everyday. Archive every moment and keep moving, keep marching. Keep demanding. Keep disrupting.

The levee cannot hold forever.

Palestine will be free.
