This piece is personal.

It began as a heavily damaged dresser hidden beneath layers of thick, stubborn paint. Beneath the surface was a beautiful story waiting to be uncovered.

What followed was the slow work of restoration: repairing what was broken, cleaning away years of neglect, and bringing new life to something that had been overlooked. The result is a piece that feels both timeless and renewed.

With its rich, earthy tones, this dresser does more than fill a space, it anchors it. I wanted it to evoke the feeling of discovering a quiet forest path, the kind that leads somewhere unexpected and beautiful. A piece that invites a slower pace, gathers memories, and becomes part of the story of a home.

Finished in Best Bronze by Sherwin-Williams and complemented by warm brass hardware, every drawer has been lined and glides smoothly. The original tapered solid wood legs have been preserved, honoring the character and craftsmanship that have carried this piece through the years.

Part of my Rescue Collection, thoughtfully restored and ready for its next chapter. by @ingrainedrestoration

MCM drop part 2! 🙌
Hands down, this piece had the most damaged veneer of any furniture I’ve ever worked on. While it’s not perfect, there are still faint marks that are there to stay, it is an absolute stunner and a far cry from the neglected piece that I came across on marketplace. ❤️ by @ingrainedrestoration

Hot take, I love these pieces. In the thrift store, they’re easy to walk past but restored and styled? When you can actually see that pop of wood grain? It doesn’t get much better. 😮‍💨🤌 by @ingrainedrestoration

From broken to beautiful, always a satisfying transformation!
My very first refinished furniture piece that I posted & sold was a vanity turned into nightstands. So it only felt fitting that my first project in my own home would be another set of beautifully repurposed nightstands. 💝 by @ingrainedrestoration
