I’m still alive. Check out this gorgeous table I made just to give my @bambulab_official X1C a home. The top is from some small offcuts of tobacco barn wood, I was able to resaw them and arrange a nice mosaic for the top. The bottom is walnut. Nothing fancy but at least I’ve built something.

I hulk smash overtightened this adjustment on my Jet jointer and broke it in half. No replacement without buying a whole assembly for many buckaroos. So I got out the trusty calipers and had one made at @sendcutsend . Maybe went overboard with the thickness but, hey…it isn’t going to break again.

I make a lot of furniture that will never be made the same way again. A board like this, with some hold downs or t-track makes a useful configurable jig platform to make challenging cuts. This one is made from leftovers from other projects and some t-track.

A great day. My son and I have been working hard to get his computer desk finished so he can move his computer out of his brother’s room. Today we got it all assembled with the final coat of finish. We worked together making the design, picking the lumber, milling, assembly and finish. This is furniture he will keep for his whole life and I think that’s pretty awesome. I love you buddy.
