We can’t believe it’s time. A year in the making: CLEMENTINE: The Magnus Company’s second original book will be available this week—and preorders will ship out this week as well. We can’t put into words how excited we are to share this story with you. We created this story because it’s what we had always longed to see—an incredible adventure that takes place in a magical world with Black heroes and heroines, fairies, and mermaids.

We poured our hearts into crafting this book, working with several illustrators to nail Clementine, her home, and the magical world we created from scratch. From Clementine’s fluffy fro to Spanish moss, every element was carefully woven together to create a story for the ages. As the pages of Clementine come to life, we hope it sparks the same joy and wonder in you that it brought us during its creation. This is more than just a book; it’s a testament to the power of storytelling and the magic that unfolds when Black children are given the spotlight. I have never recounted, via social media, my Christ encounter and ultimate transformation, but today’s as good as any.

Many of you have known me most of my life, so you have seen me in various stages. Here’s how I got to a place of peace and unspeakable joy.

To my prayer warriors, please pray. If just one person is given hope, the attack is on the way.

What an honor to open the morning session at the 10th Annual Unstuck Conference with this morning’s keynote.

I walked in prepared to deliver “Five Things My Mother Never Told Me” but literally in the midnight hour, the Lord shifted my message. The points stayed the same, but God had something specific for the women in that room.

Thank you, Pastor Andrea Humphrey, for trusting me with your people. What a gift.

Thank you to my girls who are always with me, but were there to bear witness to what God has done in the midst of a storm. You know who you are, and I love y’all.

God did a thing✨✨

I’m so excited to share that I will be speaking at the 10th annual UnStuck Conference. Pastor Andrea has created a joyous and safe space for women to come and find peace in the desert.

In her words…

“For ten years, women have come to UnStuck to breathe, laugh, worship, learn, connect, heal, and permit themselves to focus on themselves for a few days. As I prepare for this final gathering, I keep thinking about all the women who have walked through those doors over the years and all that God has done.

We have assembled an amazing group of speakers, leaders, and artists who will pour into us spiritually, mentally, physically, financially, and relationally.

We are going to have a time, and I pray that you will join us in Palm Springs at The Westin Rancho Mirage, September 10th - 12th.

Spiritual warfare is real, and July 19th–25th was a beast!!! As a matter of fact, my nervous system just regulated. At the same time this picture was taken, I was dodging landmines in combat boots six sizes too big.

Why am I being transparent about my stuff? Because it’s important to know that everything you see on Instagram isn’t beautiful with many people hurting and barely surviving outside of social media. But God!

I went to church last Sunday after being away for a while. I got the chance to catch up with someone, and when they asked how they could pray for me, I gave them three specific areas of need. They just looked at me, surprised, and said, “I never would’ve known.” All I could say was, “How would you have known?”

I love God for not letting me look like what I’ve been through. His unfailing love lets me shine even in darkness, and my testimony will ultimately lead to someone’s transition and transformation in Christ. God is good that way.

So remember, perfection only exists in the eyes of the father, and there isn’t an IG filter that can compare😉
