Huge congrats to @ingridwerner for BOOKING a role in an exciting new play set at the end of the Klondike Alaska gold rush, portraying the sacrifices of those involved.

Although Ingrid usually comes to tape in person, she was away for this one, so we worked together over Zoom. When you cannot make it in person, you can still get fantastic direction and results remotely.

The audition required two contrasting scenes. We focused on setting the scene and mapping out the core traits of her character, as a professional scientist, while also dialing into her softer, vulnerable side and the raw realities of motherhood.

Balancing a rigorous professional mindset with deep emotional vulnerability takes a lot of dedication. Ingrid brought her absolute best to it, and it paid off completely.

If you would like to buy tickets or learn more about the play, we’ve copied the link here:

It is with incredible sadness that I share that my best friend, my love, my son, my firstborn, Alfons, passed away yesterday. I am completely heartbroken.

We were lucky enough to have nine amazing years with him. He came into my life when we all needed him most, and it still feels like a miracle that I found him all the way in Spain and got to bring him home.

He was, quite simply, the best dog I have ever had the privilege of knowing. So gentle, funny, loving and completely himself.

Earlier this summer he recovered beautifully from surgery for a cancerous tumour, and I’m so grateful that I went home in July and got to spend that time with him while he was happy, healthy and so full of life. We never imagined that he would become ill again so suddenly, and in the end there was nothing more that could be done for him.

I know he is with my dad again now, and I like to think they are taking care of each other.

I will be grateful for him, and for every adventure and every ordinary little moment we shared, for the rest of my life.

I love you so much, Alfons. Forever. 🤍 taken in Asker, Norway by @ingridwerner

BRIDEWELL THEATRE
14 Bride Ln, London EC4Y 8EQ

"What if the greatest liar in the Klondike was finally telling the truth?"

Alaska, 1899. The Klondike Gold Rush is bleeding to a cold, desperate halt.

Enter Jefferson "Soapy" Smith, real-life legendary conman, ruling the underworld, Soapy is now a down-on-his-luck gangster with only one thing left to care for, his desperately ill ten-year-old son, William.

When a young girl is pulled alive from a raging river clutching a salmon, a wild rumour grips the frozen camp. They say the fish CAN TALK.

For Soapy, this is the ultimate gamble. Is it his grandest con yet? Mass hysteria in a town starved of hope? Or is this silent, swimming creature a genuine miracle sent to save his dying son?

When a sharp-tongued biological scientist, Dr. Kathleen Mole, arrives to dissect the truth, she brings with her a ghost from Soapy’s past that threatens to shatter his carefully constructed world.

Starring, Irish actor/comedian, Ben Keenan (Netflix’s Run Away, Eastenders), alongside Ingrid Werner (Rivals, Disney’s Disenchanted), Sam Newman (Nuremberg, Casualty), Gus FlindHenry, Alastair Braidwood, Anthony Evans-Pughe and Sylvia Young Agency performers Dougie South, and Teddy Russell.
