Mum and I took time out of the day to engage together in Viparita Karani, the Legs-Up-The-Wall pose. Once we finally stopped laughing at our clumsy attempt to shimmy our hips against the wall, it turned out to be an incredible physical reset. As my mum, now 84, gets older, she deals with a lot of pain and fatigue in her legs and feet.

This simple pose uses gravity to naturally boost her circulation and drain stagnant fluid, giving her tired legs and ankles a much-needed break.

While her body was getting a health reset, our minds got a chance to completely unplug. Lying there side-by-side, watching the ceiling and listening to each other breathe, felt like the most grounding thing we’ve done in a long time.

It turns out you don’t need a deep conversation to connect - just a blank wall and a few shared minutes of pure peace.

The real challenge, however, was the grand finale. Getting into the pose was a clumsy shimmy, but exiting it required the structural teamwork of two flipped turtles trying to roll over. After a highly technical maneuver involving a lot of grunting, even more laughing, rolling onto our sides, and pushing off the carpet like newborn giraffes, we finally made it back to a vertical position.

10/10 for her circulation
10/10 for the soul
0/10 for our dignity.

Today’s thoughts over morning coffee:
The “Wealth = Success = Happiness” Illusion….

Ever scroll through your feed and feel exhausted by the grotesque displays of wealth?

The cars, the clothes, the constant flexing. Society screams a simple formula at us: Wealth = Success = Happiness.

But does it actually take a massive bank account to be happy? No.

While money absolutely buys security and cuts down daily stress, the connection between cash and joy snaps pretty quickly. Here is why the equation is broken:

• The Hedonic Treadmill: People quickly adapt to luxury. Yesterday’s upgrade becomes today’s baseline. Flashy displays are often just a desperate chase for the next dopamine hit.

• Attention vs. Connection: Grotesque flexing isn’t a sign of joy. It’s a bid for admiration, confusing superficial attention with real human connection.
What actually fills the cup?

Decades of psychological research point to things money can’t buy:

1. Autonomy: Having total control over your own time.

2. Deep Relationships: Quality bonds with family, friends, and community.

3. Purpose: Doing meaningful work or hobbies that matter to you.

Wealth can buy comfort, but it cannot buy a meaningful life. True success isn’t about what you can display - it’s about how much peace you possess and how free you are to enjoy your time on this earth.

Let’s change the narrative. What does true success look like to you when you strip the price tag away?

🍂We are walking through a powerful cosmic threshold this week. The Autumn Equinox arrives on Wednesday, September 23 (1.05am) bringing that rare, sacred moment when day and night stand in perfect, flawless balance before we shift into the cozy dark of autumn. This whole week is a cosmic invitation to slow down, look inward, and realign your energy. How to embrace the shift this week:

⚖️ Restore Balance: Look at where you are overextended and gently bring harmony back to your daily routines.

🌾 Gather Your Harvest: Celebrate your personal growth, lessons, and blessings from the year so far.

🍁 Practice Letting Go: Take a cue from the autumn leaves and intentionally shed the heavy habits or thoughts that no longer serve you. Nature is giving us permission to rest, ground ourselves, and turn inward. Take a deep breath and welcome the beautiful transition ahead..

To anyone else struggling with the morning but still showing up: I see you. ☀️

Sometimes just getting out of bed, putting on clothes, and facing the day takes every ounce of energy you have.
I know!
Whether it’s sleep inertia, morning anxiety, or just plain burnout - some mornings are a heavy lift.

If you made it up and out today, even if you’re just going through the motions, that is a massive win. Be gentle with yourself today. We’re doing the best we can.

And to anyone who is in desperate need of a lifeline right now: my door is always open for a chat or a coffee. I will see you, and I will hear you. You don’t have to carry it all alone. 🌻☀️💛

Need a mental reset? Science says you just need to find some water!

Whether you prefer the crashing waves of the coast or the quiet calm of a lakeside trail, being near water triggers what psychologists call the “Blue Mind” effect - a natural state of peace and relaxation.

Here is how different waters help you recharge:-

The Sea: Perfect for shifting your perspective. The sound of big waves helps calm an overactive nervous system, while the salty coastal air is packed with negative ions that naturally boost your mood and energy.

Lakes & Rivers: Ideal for deep focus and meditation. The gentle, steady sound of flowing water lowers stress, and because these spots are often surrounded by trees, you get the double benefit of fresh forest air and peaceful views.

The bottom line? Water is medicine for the mind. Next time you are feeling overwhelmed, take a walk by the shore, sit by a river, or just watch the waves.

Lately, I’ve been rethinking what a spiritual practice actually looks like. I used to think I needed hours of quiet isolation or a perfect, elaborate setup to truly connect.
But the biggest lesson on my journey with shamanism so far is that the sacred isn’t waiting for us somewhere out in a distant forest - it’s right here, hidden inside the chaos of ordinary daily life. I’m learning to find the ritual in the routine. It’s in the quiet minute I take to feel the warmth of my morning mug and thank the earth before the day gets loud. It’s in pausing on my walk to actually listen to the wind, or realizing that the trees in my neighborhood have been quietly keeping me grounded all along. It’s not always picture-perfect. Sometimes it’s just taking one deep breath in the middle of a stressful afternoon to remind myself that I am part of something much bigger, and that everything around us carries life, wisdom, and energy. This path is less about escaping the modern world and more about deeply falling in love with it again. 🌿

To anyone else trying to walk a more conscious, connected path while navigating a busy life - I see you. We’re learning as we go. by @inharmonyht

I cannot emphasise the absolute importance of practising gratitude daily - a practise I try and incorporate into all my group work. It is a powerful way to shift mindsets, build empathy, and foster deep connections among participants.

Unfortunately we have a tendency to focus on what is missing because our brains are naturally wired with a negativity bias to spot problems.

However daily gratitude actively retrains the brain to scan for the good instead of the gaps. The beauty of the practice is its simplicity. It requires no major life changes - just pausing to notice small, positive moments. The peace or birdsong that comes with that early morning coffee, a green light when you’re in a rush, the little wave you get as your child runs into school, a smile or “good morning” you receive from a passing stranger….

Practicing gratitude actively rewires your brain, lowering stress hormones like cortisol while boosting feel-good neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin. It’s such an easy practise yet the benefits are massive!! by @inharmonyht

I was hoping to conduct a special Sound Bath this eve but the opportunity diminished as the bad weather front mooched in!

BUT - perhaps on this auspicious day you could spend some time performing your own ritual or celebration - as not only does the “Stuegeon” full moon his it’s maximum just before dawn tomorrow morning (5.18am) but this combines with a partial Lunar eclipse - this begins at circa 3.30am reaching its maximum at 5.12am.

This years Sturgeon moon brings great resilience, inner strength, and honoring your deep ancestral roots. It’s. a powerful time for personal growth, emotional release, and bold transformation.

However…. This coupled with a lunar eclipse acts as a powerful cosmic catalyst for sudden personal breakthroughs by magnifying hidden feelings, relationships, and subconscious patterns. This intense alignment forces you to confront and clear away lingering emotional baggage, toxic habits, and outdated attachments. Ultimately, this energy serves as a profound reset button, shattering comfort zones to clear the path for your next personal chapter.

Wishing you a lovely evening and will always welcome photo or update on what you did to call in and align with this special energy - even 20 mins mediation of self reflection, some self care, dancing under the moonlight, charge your crystals, make some moon water - release, clear, cleanse any toxic energy you may carry - all that was once part of your journey that no longer serves you - release it all!

I will practise my own ceremony at that time couple with a healing circle, should you wish to be included DM me a yes! I will also work with the moon cards asking for guidance through them for you! by @inharmonyht

And this shows why my Soundbath’s differ to many and only cater to smaller groups - instruments played around, over and ON the body therefore receiving one to one healing…… 🎶❤️🙏

A lot of acrobats, juggling and hard work but the results speak volumes!

Most people are familiar with the concept of “triggers”—cues that can activate feelings of danger, distress, or emotional instability, often connected to trauma or difficult past experiences. Certain sounds, smells, people, places, or situations can unexpectedly bring those feelings to the surface. If left unrecognized, triggers can have a profound impact on our wellbeing and daily lives.

Less commonly discussed are “glimmers”- the beautiful opposite of triggers. Glimmers are cues of safety, comfort, connection, and peace. They can be a familiar perfume, a favorite song, a photograph of someone we love, a special place, or even a cherished memory.

When life feels overwhelming, intentionally returning to these glimmers - remembering them, imagining them, or surrounding ourselves with them - can help soothe the nervous system and bring us back to a sense of calm and safety.

In a world filled with things that can unsettle us, may we also learn to recognize, cherish, and create more of the things that bring us peace.

Wishing you a super Saturday! 🙏🏼❤️ by @inharmonyht
