Introducing Saskia Bassey from our AStepFWD Presenter Search 🎤Q: How would you help Christian & Gospel culture grow in the UK?“As I type this, I can already think of people in my circle who are creatives and musicians that are class. Not people making music just because it’s trending, but people who genuinely understand the God they’re singing about and naturally He’ll do the rest. Some maybe just don’t yet have the confidence or platform to fully put themselves out there and this is where we would step in, excuse the pun. My friends will tell you how I hype them up and encourage them to listen to a new song I’ve found, whether it’s their cup of tea or not, and always from a genuine place. I’m not the most eloquent. I wish I had a gift of writing to express how much I love Easter. Good Friday. Resurrection Sunday. The whole shabang. If I was president this Easter weekend I would take over every screen to tell you about Jesus. You won’t be able to get from A-B without acknowledging him. Every uber ride. Every bus ride would scream “Jesus”I would tell you about the great exchange. His life for mine. My mistakes for his restoration. My ability to hold my head up after so much failure. My ability to move forward despite every reason to turn back. My ability to laugh even when life tries to steal it away. Like I’m FREE.Free, free.Free, foreal… free.Free, forever free.I cannot believe the privilege I have. It’s like I stumbled on a gold mine. The more I type the more teary eyed I get, because who am I !? How the world does life alone I will never understand. He’s so good. I wish everyone could get in his presence. You get around some people and some make you feel unsafe, someone else confused, others just you want them to get out of your face. Not Jesus. You feel at home. He’s the answer I was looking for. Argh love Jesus so much. This is my favourite season on the calendar. Yes I prefer it to Xmas.If you happen to see me this weekend doing the absolute most. Please either join me or face your front 😂. I know where I would be without him. It’s a party. A royal one. The King of all Kings. Argh I love Jesus. I’m grateful to every seed that was sown to tell me the truth about sin ! Anyway.
