Some loves don’t arrive gently, they arrive with a choice.

Some closeness doesn’t need touch. Some desire doesn’t rush.
There are moments that don’t ask to be acted on, only felt. Moments where the body leans in before the hands do, where a look carries more weight than contact ever could. This is the kind of intimacy that lives quietly in pauses, in patience, in restraint.
I’ve learned that longing doesn’t always want fulfillment. Sometimes it just wants permission to exist. To breathe. To be noticed without being consumed. There’s something sacred about choosing not to rush what already feels whole in its stillness.
And when moments like these pass, they don’t leave loudly. They leave softly. With an ache. With a tenderness that stays. Not craving touch but craving the rare feeling of being this close to someone, without needing more.

I don’t leave loudly or slam doors when I walk away. I usually leave after staying longer than I should have, hoping things would change, hoping I would matter a little more. Walking away hurts me too, but staying when I’m no longer chosen hurts deeper. So I leave quietly, and still, I leave the door unlocked not because I’m weak or waiting, but because that’s how my heart loves, without erasing what was real. If I ever meant something to you, you’ll know where to find me, and if you never come back, then maybe that silence was the answer I needed all along. I love deeply, I let go gently, and I accept whatever truth follows, even when it costs me.
