What beauty in the signs that time leaves on the body, testaments of experiences and memories. Those we celebrate this month, on the onset of fall. @headofabear.art gave us the beautiful theme “wrinkles” - and here are the amazing artworks that resulted from it.

Swipe to see all this month amazing art! We appreciate every „like“ and every comment.

Experimenting with a new medium. #oilpastels @mungyokorea_official @etchr_lab #forthosewholovetopaint

This medium is basically my archnemesis. I cannot be precise and I need to embrace chaos. And because I want to grow my gouache skills into more painterly style, I think this is a perfect way for me to practice letting go of perfection.

Plus, I can paint with very little prepping. The only thing messy after this are my hands, making clean up a breeze. by @inkingscience

Here we go again. Another week, another gouache practice!

I like this piece. The only thing I am still not sure about are the highlights.

@holbein_art acryla gouache paint, @etchr_lab sketchbook, 1h by @inkingscience

Another installment of my (hopefully) weekly gouache practice at the Open studio at work.

Unfinished pomegranate, 40 minutes only, cymk + white and cadmium red Holbein Acryla Goauche, on gessoed board.

Not very happy with this one! Really fought the transparency nature of primary magenta pigment, and not convinced about the gessoed board. I guess this is what practice is for. by @inkingscience

“Gouache practice re-enters the scene…”

Lots of comebacks this month. It hasn’t been as long as it was for life drawing (6y for that), but last time I painted gouache was short of 3y ago.

Last Friday I took advantage of a program at work where they offer time and supplies for making art at an in-office art studio, and worked on this 1h study of a seagull.

At first I wanted to “finish” and “polish” the drawing with colored pencils (even started on it). But eventually stopped myself. I think it is nice to have something “unfinished”, that gives me a real snapshot of my skills at this time and what I could achieve with this medium in about 1h.

Anyway, this was done with @holbeinartistmaterials Acrylic Gouache, using only primary colors cmyk + white, on a @etchr_lab sketchbook by @inkingscience
