I really liked this concept for this piece, it tells her story on her love for God and her kids 🙌🏽 It’s also a sleeve we are working on so stay tuned for this one 🔥

“A cover-up should feel like it was always meant to be there.”

She came in not knowing what could work over her existing tattoo. I don’t take on every cover-up, but when I see a possibility, I like to find a design that actually connects with the person wearing it.

After asking her a few questions, I found out she was military — and that’s where the idea of a woman warrior came from.

Instead of fighting every part of the old tattoo, I incorporated some of it into the war paint across her face.

2 sessions down, 1 more to go. 🖤
One final session to lock in the tones, contrast, and finishing details.

Not every tattoo can or should be covered — but when I see a way to make it work, I’m always down for the challenge. 🔥
